Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi slammed Attorney General William Barr following his Congressional testimony Thursday; claiming the top DOJ official “lied to Congress” and likely committed a crime.
“He lied to Congress. And if anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime,” she told reporters. “Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not the attorney general.”
“There is a process involved here and as I said, I’ll say it again, the committee will have to come to how we will proceed,” Pelosi added.
Barr sat-down with Congressional leaders Wednesday for the first time since releasing Robert Mueller’s ‘No Collusion’ report; facing fierce questioning from Democrats over his decision to not pursue Obstruction of Justice charges against the President.

“I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal. Especially the generation that I grew up in… the Vietnam War period, people were concerned about spying on anti-war people and so forth by the government,” said Barr.
“I think it’s important to look at that… I think spying did occur,” he added.

COLLUSION DELUSION: Adam Schiff Says AG Barr Simply ‘Doing the Bidding’ of the President
Rep. Adam Schiff continued to double-down on his baseless accusations of Russia-Trump collusion this week; accusing Attorney General William Barr of simply “doing the President’s bidding.”
“When you hear the Attorney General say he wants to look in to what he calls ‘spying’ into the President’s campaign, what’s your first reaction?” asked a reporter with ABC News.
Rep. Adam Schiff tells @Marykbruce Barr is doing Trump's "bidding" by saying he wants to look into "spying" into the Trump campaign.

“It’s stunning to hear the top law enforcement officer in the country talk so cavalierly about spying on a political campaign. This must be very pleasing for Donald Trump who wants to create a narrative that he’s the victim of some Deep State coup,” said Schiff.
“The Attorney General has a higher responsibility than simply doing the bidding of the President of the United States,” he added.
