Former Senate Majority Leader and presidential candidate Bob Dole abruptly rose from his wheelchair Tuesday; giving former President George H.W. Bush a final salute as he lay in his flag-draped coffin.
The 95-year-old Republican arrived at the US Capitol in his wheelchair followed by an aide, but rose to his feet once beside the 41st President of the United States.

“A longtime senator and congressman from Kansas, Dole was then helped back into his wheelchair where he sat for several moments in front of the casket of his former colleague. Like Bush, Dole is also a World War II veteran. He was the Republican presidential nominee in 1996,” writes Fox News.
MSNBC MELTDOWN: 'Morning Joe' Uses BUSH FUNERAL to Mock Trump
The anti-Trump hysteria at MSNBC was on full-display this weekend, with ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough using former First Lady Barbara Bush’s funeral to viciously smear the President of the United States.
Scarborough was commenting on a recent photo taken at the solemn event, highlighting former presidents and their spouses as they gathered to celebrate the life of Barbara Bush.
“I’ve spent my adult life aggressively challenging positions these presidents have taken. But I have no doubt that every action they took was intended to strengthen America, protect the homeland and preserve the Constitution.
Sadly, that is not so with DJT,” tweeted ‘Morning Joe.’

The vicious comments come as other liberal pundits and Hollywood elites smeared the former First Lady; accusing her of outright “racism” and minimizing the impact of her nationwide literacy campaign.
HANNITY: Media Using President Bush’s Death to ‘Attack Trump’
Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Monday night, Sean weighed-in on the mainstream media’s blatant hypocrisy regarding prominent conservatives; saying the press “viciously attacks” Republicans when they are alive, then applaud them “after people died.”
“This is all part of a pattern, isn’t it? The mainstream media viciously attacking any prominent Republican, all while providing cover for their friends in the Democratic party. Reagan was portrayed as a heartless monster, George Bush bashed for his speaking style,” said Hannity.
“Mitt Romney called a sexist because he wanted to hire women… All these attacks are completely disingenuous. When people died, all of sudden they like them. The mainstream media will seemingly forget about their nasty coverage,” he added.
