House Republicans doubled-down on their pro-business midterm message Tuesday; unveiling a new proposal that would make President Trump’s signature tax cuts “permanent” beyond 2025.
According to the Wall Street Journal, GOP leaders introduced legislation this week that would “lock in” cuts to individual tax rates well beyond 2025; a move aimed to motivate Republican voters heading into the 2018 midterm elections.
“The sweeping, $1.5 trillion tax cut enacted into law last year permanently lowered the corporate tax rate to 21% from 35%. But reductions in individual tax rates were scheduled to expire after eight years so the GOP could meet a restriction imposed as a condition of the fast-track reconciliation procedures used to pass the new tax law,” writes the WSJ.
“This legislation is our commitment to the American worker to ensure our tax code remains the most competitive in the world,” said House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady.

'DEATH AND DESTRUCTION?' GOP Tax Cuts Benefit EVERY SINGLE DISTRICT in the US
The liberal predictions of “death and destruction” continued to crash and burn this week, with new data showing the GOP sponsored tax cuts benefited every single Congressional district in the United States.
The report, published by the Heritage Foundation, found all 425 US districts benefited on average between $394 and $3,332 since the President signed the sweeping tax overhaul into law last December.
“We find that the average household and the average married couple with two kids in every congressional district in every state benefit from the tax cut, both in 2018 and over the next 10 years. Nationally, average households will save $1,400, and married couples with two children will save $2,918 in 2018,” said the report.
The strong data throws even more cold water on the media’s overhyped “blue wave” predicted for this fall, with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi vowing to repeal the “GOP tax scam.”

ARMAGEDDON CONTINUES: Chipotle Announces BIG BONUSES, MORE BENEFITS after GOP Tax Cuts
Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s dire predictions of “doom and gloom” continued to unravel this week, with Mexican food giant Chipotle announcing big bonuses and expanded benefits for its workers in the aftermath of the GOP-led tax cuts.
Chipotle Mexican Grill announced the new policies Wednesday, saying the quick-service restaurant was “rolling out benefits” to all of its 71,000 employees; extending stock bonuses, cash payouts, as well as paid parental leave.
According to Fox Business, qualified hourly and full-time employees will receive a bonus of $1,000 with some eligible for stock bonuses and grants to buy-back into the corporation.
Chipotle cites the recently passed GOP tax cuts as a prime factor behind the revised compensation packages.
“Other offerings will include accelerated training programs, and additional paid parental leave for everyone, from hourly managers to salaried employees,” writes Fox. “The company also added life insurance and short-term disability insurance coverage for hourly restaurant managers.”
Chipotle joins a growing list of American-based corporations -such as AT&T, Disney, Starbucks, Walmart, Home Depot, UPS, Visa, and others- to pay out big bonuses and raise wages after President Trump signed the sweeping tax overhaul into law late last-year.
