MANCHIN’S MESS: Democrat Senator’s Approval CRATERS in West Virginia

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.13.18

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin’s approval ratings are in a total free fall in the state of West Virginia according to new polling; raising serious questions over the “blue wave” predicted by the mainstream media during the 2018 midterms.

The survey finds that Manchin’s approval plummeted to 43% during the first quarter of 2018, a stunning 17 point drop from just a few months ago.

The centrist-Democrat is struggling to maintain his seat in staunchly conservative West Virginia; voting to nominate President Trump’s pro-coal pick to head the Environmental Protection Agency.

According to Fox News, Manchin voted alongside President Trump a whopping 60% of the time last year, but notably bucked the President on tax reform and the repeal of Obamacare.

“By 2012, the die was cast. The only Democrats who could survive were ones like Manchin,” a senior analyst told Fox News.

“If he loses, it would cement the idea that Democrats could not elect anyone statewide,” she added. “The presidential performance has a lot to do with how a party performs in a state. He’s still a blue dog in a Senate where it’s hard to be in the middle. But, when push comes to shove, he usually votes with Senate Democrats.”

DNC DISASTER: Republicans GAIN in NEW POLLS After ‘Schumer Shutdown’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.14.18

New polling shows Republicans heading into the pivotal 2018 midterm elections with the wind at their backs; erasing Democratic gains for the first time since last spring as President Trump’s approval ratings continue to rise.

According to Politico, President Trump’s job performance inched higher following a disastrous month for Democrats; with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer caving on DACA, the budget, and the government shutdown.

“Fully 39 percent of registered voters say they would support the GOP candidate for Congress in their district, while 38 percent would back the Democratic candidate. Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided,” writes Politico.

The polls show GOP candidates wiping out Democratic gains in recent months, shrinking their ten point generic advantage to a one point deficit against their Republican opponents.

The new data also shows President Trump’s approval rating matching his disapproval rating at 47%.

“Not only have Republicans increased support on the generic congressional ballot, they are now trusted more to handle the most important issue when voters head to the polls: the economy,” Morning Consult’s co-founder told Politico.

GAME OVER: New Poll Shows Most Americans Stand with Trump on NFL Protests

A new poll conducted by the Remington Research Group shows the vast majority of Americans strongly agree with President Trump’s tough stance against professional athletes who protest the national anthem; signaling even more trouble for the National Football League after a weekend of demonstrations.

The survey asked over 1,500 likely voters if they supported President Trump’s belief that NFL players should stand during the national anthem, and face possible fines or removal should they choose to kneel during the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’

64% of Americans sided with Trump, saying the pro-athletes should “stand and be respectful during the national anthem.”

Just 25% disagreed with the President, with 11% remaining undecided.

Even more problematic for the NFL, participants were also asked if the protests would make them more or less likely to watch their “favorite team’s games in the future.” A whopping 50% said they would likely tune-out if players continue the demonstrations, with 20% saying it made no difference.

President Trump kicked off a media firestorm last week, when he asked NFL owners and coaches to remove or suspend players who choose to protest the national anthem; calling for a boycott of the league until new guidelines are put in place barring such demonstrations.
