LIBERAL MELTDOWN: Clinton Calls DeSantis Human Trafficker, Newsom Says It's Kidnapping

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.16.22

The left isn’t happy with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

After flying two planes filled with migrants to the ultra-liberal Martha’s Vineyard, prominent blue voices are taking shots at the Sunshine State gov, accusing him of both human trafficking and kidnapping.

Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton dropped by MSNBC’s Morning Joe to offer her two cents on DeSantis’ migrant flights.

“I think, Joe, you have laid out the craziness of the time in which we’re living where some politicians would rather not only have an issue but exacerbate it to the extent of literally human trafficking, as you said,” she said. “So many other Americans — I happen to believe still the majority of Americans — are good-hearted and generous and when people end up on their doorstep in need, they’re going to respond. They’ll feed them and house them and the kids in the AP Spanish class will be let out of high school so they can go and translate. That’s the kind of American spirit that we try to celebrate at the Clinton Global Initiative.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom also chimed in on Thursday, writing a letter to AG Merrick Garland, asking the DOJ to investigate DeSantis’ office for kidnapping. Excerpt below:

“Accordingly, I strongly urge the U.S. Department of Justice (US DOJ) to open an investigation into possible criminal or civil violations of federal law based on this alleged fraudulent scheme. In particular, I urge US DOJ to investigate whether the alleged fraudulent inducement would support charges of kidnapping under relevant state laws, which could serve as a predicate offense for charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) provisions of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970.”

DeSantis admin member Christina Pushaw hopes Martha’s Vineyard gets “a few thousand more.”
