LIBERAL HYPOCRISY: Dems, Press that Praised Obama for 2011 Bin Laden Raid ATTACK Trump’s ISIS Operation

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.28.19

The mainstream media’s blatant double-standard was on full-display this week, with the same networks who vehemently praised Barack Obama’s 2011 raid on Osama bin Laden trashing President Trump’s operation that led to the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

“The guy would be on Mount Rushmore if W. had done this. They’d be carving the stone tonight, right?” said MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on bin Laden’s death.

“There’s a difference between being cold blooded- I think presidents have to be cold blooded- and being a sadist,” he added. “I was referring to Cheney, of course.”

“The death of Osama bin Laden marks the most significant development in our fight against al-Qaeda. I salute President Obama, his national security team, Director Panetta, our men and women in the intelligence community and military, and other nations who supported this effort for their leadership in achieving this major accomplishment,” stated then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

“It took close to ten years, but the world’s most wanted terrorist has finally met his deserved fate. New York’s heart is still broken from the tragedy of 9/11, but this at least brings some measure of closure and consolation to the victims and their families,” said Sen. Schumer.

More than eight years later, leading Democrats and members of the press found every opportunity to attack President Trump’s decision to take-out ISIS mastermind al-Baghdadi.

“In creating spectacle around Baghdadi’s death, Trump departs from Obama’s more measured tone on bin Laden,” reports the Washington Post. “Trump’s 50-minute performance in the Diplomatic Reception Room was marked by the overt showmanship, blunt language and airing of personal gripes that have defined an approach he once dubbed ‘modern-day presidential.’”

“The Russians, but not top Congressional Leadership, were notified in advance, and on the Administration’s overall strategy in the region. Our military and allies deserve strong, smart and strategic leadership from Washington,” said Pelosi over the weekend.

“It’s not the end of ISIS by any means… We’ve had some recent setbacks, that struggle is going to have to go on, but it’s been made more difficult because we’ve betrayed the Kurds and withdrawn our forces from parts of Syria,” added Rep. Adam Schiff.

Notably quiet on the news of al-Baghdadi’s death is Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden, who said in 2012, “Bin Laden is dead, General Motors is alive.”

BACKLASH: Washington Post Under Fire For Labeling ISIS Terror Leader ‘Austere Religious Scholar’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.28.19

The Washington Post is facing a severe backlash this week after the national newspaper labeled ISIS mastermind Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi an “austere religious scholar” after US troops launched a raid in northern Syria that led to his death.

“President Donald Trump announced Sunday morning that al-Baghdadi was killed when he detonated a vest he was wearing after being cornered by U.S. forces on Saturday evening,” reports USA Today. “The Post article says that when al-Baghdadi first rose as a leader of ISIS, he was a relatively unheard of ‘austere religious scholar with wire-frame glasses and no known aptitude for fighting and killing.’”

The Post’s original headline after the news of al-Baghdadi’s death read “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

The newspaper eventually altered the title to “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, extremist leader of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

“Regarding our al-Baghdadi obituary, the headline should never have read that way and we changed it quickly,” posted a spokesperson for the newspaper on social media.

“Every day The Washington Post uses harsher words against @realDonaldTrump than they do in writing about one of the world’s most evil terrorists. Yet we’re supposed to take them at face value. Let that sink in,” wrote GOP Rep. Steve Scalise on Twitter.

BREAKING: Intel Group Says ISIS Leader al-Baghdadi Photographed for the First Time in 5 YEARS

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.29.19

Underground ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was reportedly seen in a recent photograph for the first time since 2014; taking part in a new video released by the Islamic State’s propaganda wing following the fall of their caliphate throughout Syria.

“Rumors of al-Baghdadi’s death have persisted as ISIS militants who have surrendered to U.S.-backed coalition forces, believed their ideological leader abandoned their cause,” reports Fox News. “Baghdadi also suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure and injuries sustained during an airstrike years ago.”

The United States is currently offering a $25 million reward for any information that could help authorities identify and capture the global terror leader.
