House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi praised her fellow Democrats’ demands for the President’s interpreter to testify before Congress Thursday, saying Putin is Trump’s “puppeteer” and calling on the Commander-in-Chief to apologize for his “disgraceful and dangerous” summit.
“We meet today at a very sad moment for our American democracy,” said the former Speaker of the House during her weekly press briefing Thursday. “On Monday, the entire world witnessed President Trump cower in the presence of Putin. I sadly beseech President Trump to apologize to the American people for his disgraceful, dangerous, and damaging behavior with Putin in Helsinki.”
“Putin appears to be President Trump’s puppeteer and that day in Helsinki he shined the light on the strings,” she added.
Despite Pelosi’s claims and the mainstream media’s attacks against the White House, new polls show a vast majority of Republicans supporting Trump’s Helsinki summit, with 80% of GOP voters approving of the President’s meeting with Putin.

RUSSIAN OBSESSION: Dems Call for Trump's INTERPRETER to TESTIFY about Private Putin Meeting
Two Congressional lawmakers are demanding the President’s Russian interpreter appear before Congress as soon as possible; hoping for a chance to grill the individual over Trump’s personal meeting with Vladimir Putin.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen officially called-for the “US interpreter who was present during President Trump’s meeting with Putin” to testify before Congress Tuesday, saying the federal employee could shed some light on the two leaders’ face-to-face meeting.
“I’m calling for a hearing with the U.S. interpreter who was present during President Trump’s meeting with Putin to uncover what they discussed privately. This interpreter can help determine what @POTUS shared/promised Putin on our behalf,” she tweeted.

Rep. Joe Kennedy echoed Shaheen’s comments, saying the President’s “translator should come before Congress and testify as to what was said privately.”

ARMAGEDDON AGAIN: Pelosi Says ‘CIVILIZATION AT RISK’ in 2018 Midterms
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi doubled-down on her anti-Trump rhetoric this week, saying “civilization as we know it as at risk” should the Republicans continue to lead Congress following the 2018 midterm elections.
Pelosi was speaking with Rolling Stone magazine when she was asked to comment on how the Democrats were prepared to flip districts won by President Trump in 2016; saying “How do you narrow it down?”
“Civilization as we know it today is at risk in this election. We have to win. We have to win. So you can’t spread your money too thinly, because you can run the risk,” said the leading Democrat.
“If the election were today – no question we would win. But you have to be aware of the undercurrents. Because you don’t know what can come along – and what comes along eclipses what you’re doing,” she added.
Pelosi’s comments come as the over-hyped “blue wave” predicted for this November continues to crash and burn, with some polls showing the once double-digit Democrat advantage reduced to just a few points.
