ICE ICE BABY: 10,000 Arrests in Five Days as Trump Doubles Down After Birthright Loss

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.02.26

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is dramatically escalating enforcement efforts, making more than 10,000 arrests over the past five days as the Trump administration presses forward with its immigration agenda following a major Supreme Court defeat on birthright citizenship.

According to figures obtained by Fox News Digital from a Department of Homeland Security source, ICE has surged operations nationwide while preparing to expand enforcement even further with funding tied to the One Big Beautiful Bill, which is approaching its one-year anniversary.

The enforcement push comes just days after the Supreme Court rejected President Donald Trump’s effort to end birthright citizenship, reaffirming that children born in the United States are citizens under the Fourteenth Amendment regardless of their parents’ immigration status. The Court wrote that children born to parents “unlawfully or temporarily present” in the U.S. remain “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States and therefore qualify for citizenship under the Constitution.

Trump quickly blasted the decision and called on Congress to act instead.

“No long and unwieldy Constitutional Amendment is necessary! Congress should start TODAY to work on ending expensive and unfair to our Country, Birthright Citizenship,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. “They will have my Complete and Total Support!”

While the administration suffered a legal setback in the courtroom, officials say ICE is moving full speed ahead on interior enforcement, signaling that deportations and arrests will remain a central focus of Trump’s second-term immigration strategy.
