Patriotism is back in uniform.
A staggering 175,000 Americans have applied to join Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a surge that officials say reflects renewed faith in law and order under President Trump.
Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin revealed the updated recruitment figure Wednesday on “The Alex Marlow Show.” The blitz comes as the Trump administration offers up to $50,000 in sign-on bonuses to new ICE agents.
The agency has also called on former agents to return — and many have answered.
“It really is encouraging to see that patriots see through the charade of the media, they want to enforce the rule of law, and they want to protect our homeland,” McLaughlin said.
“They saw how the last four years, this nation was brought to its knees with this scourge of illegal immigration and they want to protect their communities and where they come from. So, we’re encouraging more patriots, it’s a very rewarding job,” she added.

With the passage of President Donald Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill, DHS has been flooded with resources to hire 10,000 new ICE agents.
“This $165 billion in funding will help the Department of Homeland Security and our brave law enforcement further deliver on President Trump’s mandate to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!” said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem after Trump signed the bill.
According to the Associated Press, DHS has spent $6.5 million on recruitment ads running across major TV and podcast networks — including during NFL and college football broadcasts.
It remains unclear how many new agents have officially joined since the campaign began, but one thing is certain: the Trump administration’s law-and-order message is resonating loud and clear.
