HORROR NYC: ‘Group of Men’ Go on ‘Subway Slashing Spree’, NYPD Manhunt Underway

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.16.21

From Fox News:

New York City police are looking for the group of men who are believed to have attacked at least four different people – slashing three of them – during a 12-minute violence spree on Friday morning in the Big Apple’s subway, as officials tell Fox News: “Enough is enough.”

The terrifying string of attacks highlights what city transportation officials are calling a need for more uniformed police officers in the subway system, despite how Mayor de Blasio has pushed the idea that the prevalence of crime will decrease with the increased presence of riders as coronavirus pandemic restrictions begin to lift.

The first of Friday’s incidents was reported around 4:25 a.m., when a 44-year-old man riding a southbound No. 4 train was approached by two men, one of whom slashed him in the face, police said. The victim got off the subway at Manhattan’s Union Square Station.

But his attackers are believed to have stayed on board and carried out their next attack only minutes later, at approximately 4:34 a.m., when the two suspects allegedly approached a 40-year-old man and also slashed him in his face, police said. They then moved on to a second man – the third victim of the morning – whom they purportedly punched in the face, police said.

Both men exited the train in the area of Astor Place, according to police – an area known to be busy and full of college students.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez backs anti-cop protesters who stormed NYC subway stations

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.03.19

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stamped her socialist seal of approval on the anti-cop demonstrations that occurred in Brooklyn, NY on Friday evening. AOC tweeted support for the protests which included a video of demonstrators jumping over subway turnstiles, yelling insults at police, and chants of “How do you spell racist? N-Y-P-D,” according to Fox News.

In the video (shown below), protesters can be seen jumping turnstiles without paying the fare, while others are holding signs with slogans like “No cops, no fares.” One straphanger who did choose to pay the fare can be heard being yelled at by a protester.

Other videos and images from the same protest that were not shared by Ocasio-Cortez showed banners that said: “Punch that cop!” “Don’t let these pigs touch us,” and “Hit em!”

BAD APPLES: NY Officials Blame RIDERS for ‘Crowded’ and ‘Smelly’ Subway System

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.21.18

New York officials deflected recent critiques against the nation’s largest subway system this week; publicly blaming riders for “smelly” and “overcrowded” trains and stations that service over five million people per day.

According to the Wall Street Journal, officials at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority are launching a new campaign to inform riders how to improve the massive transit system; urging users to “be patient” and refrain from cramming into already-crowded trains.

“You want reliable transit. We want to give it you,” said MTA subway boss Andy Byford. “You have a part to play in this.”

“That’s ridiculous,” said one subway rider. “What’s causing the delays is their incompetence.”

“Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency last year following a pileup of rush-hour disruptions and a subway derailment that injured dozens. The MTA is spending more than $800 million fixing and cleaning tracks and upgrading signals,” writes the WSJ.
