What’s the latest on securing the border and cleaning up America’s communities from illegal migrant crime? Border Czar Tom Homan spoke with Sean Hannity Thursday night.
Homan also reacted to the House passing the SAVE Act, which requires proof of citizenship to vote, and President Trump’s call to end sanctuary cities.
“I think we’re ruining [Democrats’] plans,” Homan said. “They brought millions of illegal aliens into this country illegally … and sent them to sanctuary cities so, when they do the next census … they’ll count these millions of people in Democrat sanctuary cities means more seats in the House for Dems and more Democratic voters — and I think we’re ruining their plans.”
“This should have been done a long time ago, but I’m glad President Trump is in the Oval Office,” Homan continued. “He proves every day to me that he’s the greatest president in my lifetime.”
“It’s amazing what three months will do,” Hannity said, referencing the transformational shift in law, order, and border security.
Homan says he needs more cash from Congress to be successful and continue to enforce Trump’s successful immigration policies.
“We need more beds. We can’t arrest them and just deport them. We need officers. We need overtime — fund it!” Homan said, encouraging Congress to make sure his departments are properly funded.
