From Fox News:
Jason Furman, Harvard’s Aetna professor of the practice of economic policy, said the country would not be faced with these issues if the unemployment rate was still 10%, an apparent reference to Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell’s comments early this year when he said the unemployment rate in January was around that number.

Conservatives on social media took issue with Klain’s retweet, claiming that he was, in effect, downplaying the hardships that some Americans are experiencing.
“Struggling to pay for food, fuel, and housing because of rising prices is not a ‘high class problem,’” Tommy Pigott, the rapid response director for the Republican National Committee, tweeted. “Biden is making everyone worse off, but instead of stopping the damage, their strategy is to try to gaslight Americans.”
Klain did not immediately respond to an after-hours email from Fox News.
President Biden announced a deal on Wednesday to expand operations at the Port of Los Angeles as prices keep climbing and container ships wait to dock in a traffic jam threatening the U.S. economy and holiday shopping.
Prices are jumping in large part because container ships are stranded at ports and because unloaded goods are waiting for trucks, leading to mass shortages and delays that have caused a longer than expected bout of inflation.

BIDEN IN CAROLINA: ‘My Name is Joe Biden, I’m a Democratic Candidate for the United States Senate’
Former Vice President Joe Biden continued his gaffe-ridden campaign in South Carolina this week; bizarrely telling the crowd he’s running for the United States Senate.
“My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over, if you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden,” he told supporters just days before the South Carolina primary.
Biden made similar comments earlier this month, delivering a speech in Nevada where he called for innovative solutions like they’ve implemented “Here in California.”
“The new technologies are capable of doing so much more. For example, there’s no reason why -at our ports- we don’t have solar capacity to be able to make sure we save a lot of energy, create a lot of new jobs for people out there, just like here in California… I mean… here in Nevada,” said Biden.

BIDEN IN IOWA: I’ve Spent a Lot of Time with South Korea’s Kim Jong Un
Former Vice President Joe Biden continued his gaffe-laden campaign tour in Iowa over the weekend; bizarrely stating he’s “spent a lot of time” with “Kim Jong Un in South Korea.”
“You see what’s happening all around the world with his embrace of dictators. Folks like Putin, Kim Jong Un in South Korea and the way he talks about America, the way he talks about our allies,” said Biden.
“I know them. Putin has no illusions about whether I know him or not. Kim Jong Un has no illusions about whether I know him or not… I’ve spent a lot of time with these folks, they know,” he added.
