'HE BELONGS IN JAIL': Conservative Voices React to Fauci's Retirement

Conservatives aren’t letting Fauci off that easy.

After a report from Politico revealed that patron saint of COVID Dr. Anthony Fauci will be retiring before the end of President Biden’s term, conservative voices took to Twitter to blast the doc, many confirming an investigation is coming.

“They’re going to try and come after me, anyway. I mean, probably less so if I’m not in the job,” Fauci said. “I don’t make that a consideration in my career decision.”

“I don’t think they can say anything about the science,” he added. “If that’s what you want to investigate, be my guest. My telling somebody that it’s important to follow fundamental good public health practices – what are you going to investigate about that?”

Fauci’s recommendations had destructive effects on the economy, childhood learning, and more. And while a donkey may be more forgiving, an elephant never forgets. Here are a handful of prominent conservative voices reacting to the news.

“Whether Fauci retires or not, he still must be investigated and held responsible for his role in Covid-19,” Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said.

“Fauci thinks he’s just going to retire and move on with his life. Not on my watch. He belongs in jail,” Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert tweeted.

“Even Fauci knows a Republican is getting elected in 2024. His ass doesn’t wanna be investigated so he will ‘retire,’ said Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren.

“Attention Dr. Fauci. Let me give you some good legal advice. Hired some very good lawyers. Retirement will not protect you from being criminally investigated,” Fox News contributor Leo Terrell warned Fauci.

Conservative news site The Daily Wire lampooned Fauci with a meme:

Conservative podcast host Monica Crowley has news for Fauci if he thinks he’s going to sail off into the sunset.

“Fauci thinks he’s just going to retire to Martha’s Vineyard and play golf and pinochle. I don’t think so.”
