HANNITY: Lawmakers Need to Put Politics Aside, Help Americans in Need During Coronavirus Crisis

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.18.20

Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Tuesday night, Sean urged all politicians to put aside their partisan projects and help all Americans harmed by the global Coronavirus pandemic.

“The entire world is in a fight against this enemy. Major financial help is on the way. The White House is working on a trillion-dollar stimulus package… We’re Americans. We’re going to help out our fellow Americans. This country rebuilt Europe after World War II. We saved the world from evil and tyranny,” said Hannity.

“We must help our fellow Americans. Industries and workers have got to get the help that they deserve,” he added. “We will find the money, that’s who we are. Washington, all of you, stop with the pork barrel misuse of our tax dollars.”

BERNIE on CORONAVIRUS: ‘Casualties May Be Even Higher Than What Armed Forces Experienced in WW II’

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.13.20

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders weighed-in on the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak across the United States this week; telling reporters the “casualties” could be higher than what “the Armed Forces experienced” in the Second World War.

“In terms of potential deaths…the crisis we face is on a scale of a major war…we also have to face the truth and that is that the number of casualties may actually be even higher than what the armed forces experienced in World War II,” said Sanders during a press briefing on the virus.

President Trump addressed the nation from the Oval Office Wednesday night; saying it’s time for the American people to unify and combat the Coronavirus outbreak as “one family.”

“No nation is more prepared or more resilient than the United States. We have the best healthcare anywhere in the world. We are all in this together. We must put politics aside, stop the partisanship and unify together as one nation and one family,” said the President.

“History has proven time and time again, Americans always rise to the challenge and overcome adversity. Our future remains brighter than anyone can imagine,” he added.

The global Coronavirus outbreak continued to have a major impact on the American economy and sporting world Thursday; with A-list actor Tom Hanks testing positive for the disease and the NBA suspending its entire season until further notice.

“Actor Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson, they have tested positive for Coronavirus. They are in our prayers tonight,” said Hannity.

The President addressing the American public from the Oval Office Wednesday night; unveiling a series of new travel restrictions for all of Europe excluding the United Kingdom.

The 30-day ban starts Friday at midnight and applies to: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, and excludes the United Kingdom and Ireland.

“This is the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history,” Trump said in an address to the nation. “I am confident by counting and continuing to take these measures we will significantly reduce the threat to our citizens and we will ultimately and expeditiously defeat this virus.”

CARSON ON HANNITY: Trump Willing to Make ‘Tough Decisions’ to Protect Americans from Coronavirus

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.17.20

Dr. Ben Carson stopped-by ‘Hannity’ Monday night to weigh-in on the country’s efforts to combat the Coronavirus; telling Sean the President is prepared to make “tough decisions” when it comes to protecting Americans.

“The President has an excellent perspective. Early on, when a lot of people say you can’t impose a travel ban, he stood alone, recognizing what the consequences would be if we had all these diseases transfer to our country,” said Carson.

“There will be other tough decisions, and he’s willing to make those decisions. As far as businesses, understanding the real power in this country lies with our people. We have innovative people, entrepreneurial people, but we also have people who care,” he added.

The White House issued a series of new guidelines to slow the spread of the deadly Coronavirus Monday; saying the next 15 days are critical to stop the contagion and increase public safety.

The document urges all Americans who feel sick to remain in their homes and self-quarantine should a family member become ill.

Those with underlying medical conditions and the elderly should stay home and avoid contact with others.

The Centers for Disease Control issued a revised warning to the American people last week; urging all citizens to avoid gatherings -both public and private- of more than 50 different people for the next eight weeks.

“If followed, the guidance — the strongest and most sweeping to date from the agency — will significantly increase the pandemic’s disruption to U.S. public life for the next two months. Governments worldwide are already making tough decisions aimed at keep their citizens safe,” reports the Washington Post.

“A slew of new states and cities, including Illinois, Washington state and New York City, have announced plans to close schools and severely restricted their nightlife by shuttering bars, restaurants and clubs, allowing takeout food only or cutting hours,” adds the newspaper.

The announcement comes just moments after New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered the nation’s biggest metropolis to close all schools, restaurants, bars, night clubs, and theaters to stop the spread of the disease.

“Our lives are all changing in ways that were unimaginable just a week ago,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio.
