President Trump told reporters he can “easily beat” former Vice President Joe Biden in a head-to-heat matchup Friday; saying the Democratic frontrunner “makes him look very young” by comparison.
“The president, departing the White House, was asked about Biden’s entrance into the Democratic primary field. Biden announced his presidential bid early Thursday morning, marking his third attempt at the White House,” reports Fox News.
“I think we’d beat him easily,” Trump told reporters Friday.
“I feel like a young man. I am a young, vibrant man,” Trump added. “I look at Joe, I don’t know about him… I would never say anyone’s too old. I know they’re all making me look very young both in terms of age and in terms of energy.”
Biden officially entered the 2020 race for the White House Thursday; saying the coming contest is a “battle for the soul of the nation.”

BIDEN STEPS IN: The Former Vice President Announces His Third Run for the White House
Former Vice President Joe Biden announced his third-run for the White House Thursday; ending months of speculation over whether the top Obama official would make another bid for the Oval Office.
“In that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I’d seen in my lifetime,” Biden said, adding “history will look back on four years of this president and all he embraces as an aberrant moment in time.”
The core values of this nation… our standing in the world… our very democracy…everything that has made America — America –is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States. #Joe2020 https://t.co/jzaQbyTEz3

NOT SO FAST: AOC-Linked ‘Justice Democrats’ Blast Biden, Claim He’s ‘Out of Touch’ with Progressives
The progressive organization that launched the political career of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez threw more cold-water on Joe Biden’s presidential campaign Thursday; saying the former Vice President represented the “old guard” and was “out of touch.”
“The old guard of the Democratic Party failed to stop Trump, and they can’t be counted on to lead the fight against his divide-and-conquer politics today,” Justice Democrats said. “The party needs new leadership with a bold vision capable of energizing voters in the Democratic base who stayed home in 2016.”

“Democrats are increasingly uniting around progressive populist policies like ‘Medicare-for-All,’ a Green New Deal, free college, rejecting corporate money, ending mass incarceration and deportation. We don’t need someone who voted for the Iraq War, for mass incarceration, and for the Bankruptcy Reform Act while voting against gay marriage, reproductive rights, and school desegregation,” added the organization.
