Donald Trump Jr. weighed-in Friday on the media’s latest attacks against Senator Ted Cruz for traveling to Mexico during widespread power outages in his home state; saying nobody should “cancel the guy for taking a family vacation.”
“We’ve got to talk Ted Cruz a little bit. They’re trying to cancel him because he took a family vacation. The optics of that right now isn’t ideal, but in the grand scheme of things, he’s a Senator. He doesn’t manage crises in states. That’s a governor’s job. He’s a federal employee,” said Trump Jr.
“I’m not going to jump on the bandwagon of trying to cancel this guy for taking his kids on a vacation. It’s not the ideal time, but give me a break. They’re spending more time focusing on this than governor’s just disregarding their own Executive Orders in shutting down state,” he added.
