California Governor Gavin Newsom publicly praised the Trump administration this week; saying the federal government has “delivered” for his state during the national Coronavirus pandemic.
“Last week I called the president personally and said we need more swabs for specimen collection so we can substantially increase our testing capacity. They were delivered the next day,” said Newsom.

“I’m really focused on doing my job and trying to save lives. I’m trying to avoid finger-pointing. There’s just too many lives at stake,” he added.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced his decision Friday to sign an executive order demanding 100% of the state’s workforce remain home, with exceptions for essential services like pharmacies, grocery stores, and other businesses.
“I will sign an Executive Order mandating that 100% of workforce must stay home, excluding essential services. This order excludes pharmacies, grocery stores, and others,” posted Cuomo on social media.

California Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statewide ‘Stay at Home’ order Thursday evening; asking all residents to remain in their houses and apartments to slow the spread of the Coronavirus and “flatten the curve.”
“CA is issuing a statewide, mandatory STAY AT HOME order. Those that work in critical sectors should go to work. Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and more will stay open. We need to meet this moment and flatten the curve together,” posted Newsom on social media.

California Governor Gavin Newsom publicly praised President Trump’s handling of the Coronavirus crisis this week; saying the White House has been “responsive to his needs” as his state struggles to contain the contagion.
“Let me just be candid with you. I’d be lying to you to say that [Trump] hasn’t been responsive to our needs. He has. And so, as a question, as a sort of an offer of objectivity, I have to acknowledge that publicly.”
“Every time I’ve called the President he’s quickly gotten on the line. When I’ve asked for support, he was able to direct that,” he added.
