Fox News border correspondent Bill Melugin shared footage this week of a mass release of illegal migrants onto the streets of San Diego; Melugin says it “happens every day.”
“Once again, border patrol mass released hundreds of illegal immigrants to city streets in San Diego,” Melugin said in a Fox News report. “They often have a notice to appear with a court date years into the future … Once they are released from DHS custody, they are free to travel the country.”
Melugin says the released migrants were from China, the Middle East, India, and more.

Melugin shared the original footage of the mass release on X, saying “Once again, we witnessed Border Patrol mass release hundreds of migrants from around the world who crossed illegally. Dropped off at a trolley station in San Diego.”
San Diego has had over 1,000 street releases since Biden's Executive order was announced and over 150,000 since October.
