Players on the Miami Dolphins refuse to take the field for the performance of the US National Anthem for their upcoming season opener; confirming the athletes will “stay inside” for the Star-Spangled Banner.
“The Miami Dolphins have announced players will not be on the field for the national anthem in Sunday’s season opener,” reports CBS Miami.
“If we could just right our wrongs, we wouldn’t need two songs,” center Ted Karras said in the video.
“If you speak up for change, then I shut up and play,” safety Bobby McCain said.

AOC REJECTED: House Votes to Deny AOC’s Bid to Limit Ads Promoting US Military Enlistment
The House of Representatives overwhelmingly rejected Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’ latest amendment that would limit the US Military’s ability to promote enlistment using video games and other internet streaming platforms.
The final vote was 292-126.
“War is not a game,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter. “Twitch is a popular platform for children FAR under the age of military recruitment rules. We should not conflate military service with ‘shoot-em-up’ style games and contests.”

The good news: a majority of the Dem party supported this amendment.
That’s a really solid start for this being the first time this issue has been brought before Congress.
We’ve made great strides since *that* Senate FB hearing, but we’ve got a lot of room to still improve!

AOC Explodes: AOC Says Republicans ‘Treat Our Country as a Joke’ and ‘Play Games with American Lives’
Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed her Republican colleagues on social media Monday; saying the GOP “treats our country as a joke” and routinely “plays games with people’s lives.”
“When Republicans say our nation’s laws are ‘just a joke,’ they mean it. They treat our country as a joke, our communities as a joke, and our future as a joke. For the GOP, as long as the rich get richer, they are happy to play games with American lives,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

AOC’s critique comes hours after she called for the abolishment of prisons across the United States.
“Mass incarceration is our American reality. It is a system whose logic evolved from the same lineage as Jim Crow, American apartheid, & slavery. To end it, we have to change. That means we need to have a real conversation about decarceration & prison abolition in this country,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

The far-left lawmaker made similar comments last week; saying there should be no billionaires throughout the United States.
“‘Billionaires should not exist’ does not mean certain people should not exist. It means no person should have a billion dollars. The ascent of billionaires is a symptom & outcome of an immoral system that tells people affordable insulin is impossible but exploitation is fine,” posted AOC on Twitter.
