Barack Obama was thrust into the national spotlight again Wednesday, with recently revealed texts showing the former President demanded to “know everything” about Hillary Clinton’s email probe; despite pledging to the American people to not interfere with the ongoing investigation back in 2016.
Just hours after Congress released even more anti-Trump text messages between agent Peter Strzok and DOJ attorney Lisa Page, users on social media were quick to point out Obama’s blatant hypocrisy, telling Fox News in April 2016 that he “guaranteed” Clinton would “not be in any way protected.”

“Can you guarantee to the American people, can you direct the Justice Department to say, ‘Hillary Clinton will be treated — as the evidence goes, she will not be in any way protected,” said Fox News’ Chris Wallace.
“I can guarantee that. And I can guarantee that, not because I give Attorney General Lynch a directive, that is institutionally how we have always operated,” pledged Obama.
“I do not talk to the Attorney General about pending investigations. I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations. We have a strict line, and always have maintained it, previous president,” he added.
BIAS ALERT: FBI Agents ‘PRESSURED’ to END Hillary Probe After Trump Nomination
Officials at the Department of Justice forked over hundreds of pages of previously unseen text messages to Congressional investigators over the weekend; revealing new details on how FBI agents were “pressured” to exonerate Hillary Clinton’s private email scandal after Donald Trump secured the GOP nomination in 2016.
New text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and bureau lawyer Lisa Page shed new light on the level of anti-Trump bias and corruption throughout the agency in the run-up to the US presidential election; suggesting the bureau was hoping to conclude Clinton’s probe within minutes of Donald Trump’s victory over GOP opponent Senator Ted Cruz.
“Holy s*** Cruz just dropped out of the race. It’s going to be a Clinton Trump race. Unbelievable,” wrote Page in May of 2016.
“I saw Trump won, figured it would be a bit,” responded Strzok. “Now the pressure really starts to finish MYE.”
The reference to “MYE” refers to ‘Mid-Year Exam,’ the FBI code name for the ongoing investigation of Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information and use of a private email server.
According to CBS News, the conversation was included in Sen. Ron Johnson’s scathing letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, where the Homeland Security Chairman demanded answers over anti-Trump bias at the agency ahead of the 2016 election.
FBI BOMBSHELL: New Texts Show OBAMA Wanted ‘TO KNOW EVERYTHING’ About Hillary Probe
Newly released text messages between senior officials at the Department of Justice sent shockwaves through Washington Tuesday night, reportedly showing former President Barack Obama wanted to “know everything” about the FBI’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s email server.
The communications between senior FBI agent Peter Strzok and DOJ lawyer Lisa Page suggest Obama may have been more involved in Clinton’s probe than previously thought and raises new questions over the results of the bureau’s investigation into her mishandling of classified material.
According to Fox News, Page texted Strzok in early September 2016 -just weeks ahead of presidential election- saying Obama wanted “to know everything we’re doing.”
The communications shed new light on the level of anti-Trump corruption and widespread abuse throughout the Department of Justice and the FBI.
Last week, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes released a controversial memo showing the bureau used the Clinton-financed ‘Trump Dossier’ to secure FISA warrants in an effort to surveil senior Trump officials in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.
