Shortly after Hunter Biden defied a congressional subpoena for a closed-door deposition from the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, an old clip of Joe Biden resurfaced and went viral. In the clip, Biden is asked by a reporter what should happen to people who defy congressional subpoenas.
“Do you have a message to people who defy congressional subpoenas on the January 6th committee?” Joe is asked.
“I hope that the committee goes after them and holds them accountable,” Joe says.
“Do you think they should be prosecuted by the Justice Department?” the reporter follows up.
“I do, yeah,” Joe says.

On Wednesday, embattled First Son Hunter Biden very publicly defied a congressional subpoena on the steps outside the Capitol.
“I’m here today to make sure the House Committee’s illegitimate investigations of my family do not proceed on distortions, manipulated evidence, and lies.”
Hunter did not show up to his hearing.
