FLASHBACK: Democrats Compared Clinton’s Impeachment to ‘Lynching’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.23.19

President Trump referred to the Democrats’ latest impeachment push as a political “lynching” this week; sparking outrage from countless far-left lawmakers demanding he apologize for his comments.

The Democrats’ fury conveniently ignores multiple politicians -including former Vice President Joe Biden- labeling Clinton’s impeachment trial a modern-day “lynching.”

“This feels to me, like we’re going down the road of becoming a political lynch-mob,” said Congressman Jim McDermott.

“What we’re doing here is not a prosecution, it’s a persecution. Indeed, it is a political lynching,” added Rep. Gregory Meeks.

FLASHBACK: Joe Biden Called Clinton Impeachment a ‘Partisan Lynching’ in 1998

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.23.19

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden apologized this week after footage surfaced of the former Vice President calling Bill Clinton’s impeachment a “partisan lynching” back in 1998.

“This wasn’t the right word to use and I’m sorry about that. Trump on the other hand chose his words deliberately today in his use of the word lynching and continues to stoke racial divides in this country daily,” posted Biden on social media.

Democrats pounced on President Trump Tuesday after he referred to liberal lawmakers’ efforts to remove him from office a “lynching.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham exploded on the Democrats’ “sham” impeachment investigation Tuesday; telling reporters on Capitol Hill the whole process is completely “Un-American.”

“This is a sham. This is a joke. I’m going to let the whole world know that if we were doing this to a Democratic president, you would be all over me right now… This is a lynching in every sense. This is un-American.”

President Trump spoke with Sean Hannity at the White House Monday afternoon; calling-out House Democrats’ for the veil of secrecy surrounding their latest impeachment inquiry and the Ukraine.

“We have tremendous support, we’ve got taxes, we’ve got regulations, the stock market. That’s in a fairly short period of time. We’re doing great, we’re beating everybody… We’ve done things that nobody else has done,” said the President.

“To me, ‘impeach’ is a very ugly word… To impeach over a letter like that. They don’t mention any of this anymore. What they’re doing now is something that’s never been done before. They don’t want the facts to come out. Republicans have no lawyers, we can’t question, we can’t do a thing,” he added.

BACKFIRE: Trump Re-Election Campaign, GOP Raise $13 MILLION Since Pelosi’s Impeachment Push

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.27.19

President Trump’s re-election campaign and the Republican Party have reportedly raised $13 million since Nancy Pelosi announced her official impeachment push earlier this week.

President Trump’s reelection campaign and the GOP have raised $13 million since Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Tuesday that House Democrats would launch a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump amid scrutiny over his interactions with Ukraine,” reports The Hill.

“A Trump campaign official confirmed the figure to The Hill, saying it represented funds raised by the campaign as well as the Republican National Committee (RNC),” adds the website.

“A BIG thank you to @SpeakerPelosi and the Democrats – in the last 48 hours we have raised $8.5 million dollars in small dollar donations. People are sick of your nonsense but please keep it up — you are handing @realDonaldTrump the win in 2020!” posted Eric Trump on social media.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi officially endorsed an impeachment inquiry into President Trump Tuesday evening; announcing her plan after days of media speculation regarding the Commander-in-Chief’s private conversation with the leader of Ukraine.

“I am currently at the United Nations representing our Country, but have authorized the release tomorrow of the complete, fully declassified and unredacted transcript of my phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine,” posted Trump on Twitter. “You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call. No pressure and, unlike Joe Biden and his son, NO quid pro quo! This is nothing more than a continuation of the Greatest and most Destructive Witch Hunt of all time!”

“The decision sets up an election season clash between Trump and Congress that seems certain to exacerbate the nation’s fierce partisan divides and inject deep uncertainty into the 2020 presidential contest. The probe is expected to focus in part on reports that Trump pressed Ukraine’s president to help investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden,” reports the Associated Press.
