EXCLUSIVE: Sen. McConnell Tells Hannity ‘NO CHANCE’ Trump Will Be Removed from Office

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.16.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell threw more cold-water on the Democrats’ impeachment fantasy on ‘Hannity’ Thursday night; telling Sean there’s “no chance” the President will be removed from office.

“Let’s assume the House moves forward with Impeachment, what do you see happening?” asked Hannity.

“The Democrats have been wanting to do this for three years… They finally got around to it. Pretty weak stuff,” said McConnell.

“We’ll listen to the opening arguments by the House prosecutor, we’ll listen to the President’s lawyers. Then we’ll make a decision about the way forward,” he added. “We all know how it’s going to end. There’s no chance the President is going to be removed from office.”

'FANTASYLAND': McConnell Says It’s ‘Inconceivable’ 67 Senators Will Vote to Remove Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.19.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell threw more cold-water on the Democrats’ impeachment frenzy Tuesday; saying “it’s inconceivable” that 67 Senators will vote to remove President Trump from office.

“It’s inconceivable to me that it would be 67 votes to remove the president from office,” McConnell told reporters during the third day of the public impeachment inquiry.

McConnell made similar comments last week.

“I can’t imagine a scenario under which President Trump would be removed from office with 67 votes in the Senate,” McConnell told USA Today.

“Nothing is happening because House Democrats seized with Trump derangement syndrome are consumed with this argument with the president,” he said.

McConnell made similar comments last week; telling reporters “I will say I’m pretty sure how it’s likely to end. If it were today, I don’t think there’s any question it would not lead to a removal.”

Meanwhile, House Democrats refuse to commit to a formal timeline of their investigation into the President’s dealings with Ukraine.

“I haven’t had a lot of time to pay attention to the president’s tweets and the legal implications of them. I just think that was totally wrong and inappropriate and typical of the president,” Pelosi told CBS News.

“I have no idea,” she responded when asked if the process could drag-on into 2020.

AOC on IMPEACHMENT: ‘This is About Preventing a Potentially Disastrous Outcome Next Year’

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed-in Wednesday on the Democrats’ public impeachment investigation; saying the proceedings are about “uniting her caucus” and “preventing a disastrous outcome” in 2020.

“We have to move quite quickly because we’re talking about the potential compromise of the 2020 elections. This is not just about something that has occurred, this is about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

The Representative’s comments come hours after GOP leadership released a key memo debunking the Democrats’ motives for impeachment.

These facts are:

  • The July 25 call summary — the best evidence of the conversation — shows no conditionality or evidence of pressure;
  • President Zelensky and President Trump have both said there was no pressure on the call;
  • The Ukrainian government was not aware of a hold on U.S. security assistance at the time of the July 25 call; and
  • President Trump met with President Zelensky and U.S. security assistance flowed to Ukraine in September 2019 — both of which occurred without Ukraine investigating President Trump’s political rivals,” states the letter.

“Democrats want to impeach President Trump because unelected and anonymous bureaucrats disagreed with the President’s decisions and were discomforted by his telephone conversation with President Zelensky,” writes the memo.

“Since it became an independent nation following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine has been plagued by systemic corruption… Corruption so pervasive that in 2011, 68% of Ukrainian citizens reported that they had bribed a public official within the preceding 12 months,” adds the statement.
