Coronavirus Task Force leader Dr. Anthony Fauci weighed-in this weekend on President Trump’s handling of the global pandemic; saying the Commander-in-Chief was giving people hope during a national crisis.
“Many of the things that you hear out there may be true… but they’re anecdotal. The only thing I was saying is that if you want to know if something works, you have to do the kind of trial where you get the good information,” said Fauci.
“The President is talking about hope for people. It’s not an unreasonable thing to hope for people. When you have approved drugs… There are those who lean towards giving hope, and you have the other group to prove without a doubt that a drug is safe,” he added.

AOC: Virus Relief Must Include Universal Income, Medicaid Expansion, Mortgage Suspension, Paid Leave, More…
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued her list of priorities in any potential Coronavirus relief package Tuesday; saying the proposal must include programs like Universal Basic Income (UBI), Medicaid expansion, and more.
“This is unacceptable. Trump is using this public health crisis as an opportunity to push tax cuts and corporate bailouts. This is an emergency. We need to help vulnerable people & small biz now w/ paid leave, extended unemployment, UBI, Medicaid expansion,&mortgage suspensions,” she posted on Twitter.
Expanding small biz loans is an acceptable consideration- but we must avoid allowing this crisis to put millions of people in insurmountable debt.
Checks to people are good and I applaud the proposal, but it’s not enough. But we need payment suspensions to get people through.
