President Trump asserted ‘executive privilege’ Wednesday morning regarding Robert Mueller’s final report; effectively blocking its un-redacted release should Congressional Democrats subpoena the underlying material.
“The president’s move came after the Justice Department, late Tuesday night, requested that the House Judiciary Committee postpone a scheduled vote on to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena to provide the Mueller files to the panel. The Justice Department warned that if the committee did not postpone the vote, the attorney general would recommend that Trump claim executive privilege over the materials,” reports Fox News.
“The Attorney General has been transparent and accommodating throughout this process, including by releasing the no-collusion, no-conspiracy, no-obstruction Mueller Report to the public and offering to testify before the Committee. These attempts to work with the Committee have been flatly rejected. They didn’t like the results of the report, and now they want a redo,” press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement on Wednesday.

COLLUSION DELUSION: Pelosi, Schumer SLAM the Attorney General’s ‘Partisan’ Mueller Report
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer slammed Attorney General William Barr’s “partisan handling” of Robert Mueller’s final report Thursday; dismissing his findings hours before the document is released to Congressional leaders.
“Attorney General Barr’s regrettably partisan handling of the Mueller report, including his slanted March 24th summary letter, his irresponsible testimony before Congress last week, and his indefensible plan to spin the report in a press conference later this morning — hours before he allows the public or Congress to see it — have resulted in a crisis of confidence in his independence and impartiality,” said a joint statement from the Democratic leaders.
“We believe the only way to begin restoring public trust in the handling of the Special Counsel’s investigation is for Special Counsel Mueller himself to provide public testimony in the House and Senate as soon as possible,” they concluded.

COLLUSION DELUSION: Rashida Tlaib Introduces Bill Urging Trump’s Impeachment
Recently sworn-in Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib officially introduced legislation this week that urged the impeachment of President Trump; completely ignoring Robert Mueller’s final report that found absolutely “no collusion” between the President and Russian officials.
The resolution urges the House Judiciary Committee to investigate whether the Commander-in-Chief committed “any offenses” that would warrant impeachment proceedings.
The legislation inquires “whether the House of Representatives should impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America,” adding “the Committee on the Judiciary or any subcommittee or task force designated by the Committee may, in connection with the inquiry under this resolution, take affidavits and depositions by a member, counsel, or consultant of the Committee, pursuant to notice or subpoena.”
Tlaib made national headlines in January when she vowed to “Impeach the Motherf***er!” just hours after being officially sworn-in as a Member of Congress.
