DEVELOPING: George Zimmerman Sues Family of Trayvon Martin, Others for $100 Million

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.04.19

George Zimmerman, the man ultimately acquitted for the killing of teenager Trayvon Martin in 2012, is reportedly suing the young man’s family and their lawyers for $100 million.

“Zimmerman’s trial and acquittal sparked protests and a national debate about race relations. The Justice Department later decided not to bring a civil rights case against Zimmerman,” reports Florida’s Sun Sentinel.

“It was a complete travesty of justice which destroyed my client’s life,” said Zimmerman’s attorney Larry Klayman. “People are destroyed and smeared and they have to start fighting back.”

“Zimmerman is also suing civil rights attorney Crump and HarperCollins Publishers, accusing them of defaming him in Crump’s book published in October called ‘Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People,’ ‘with actual malice knowing the untruth or at a minimum a reckless disregard for the truth,’ according to the lawsuit,” adds the newspaper.

BLUE STATE BLUES: New York Leads LAWSUIT Against 'Unconstitutional' 2020 Census

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.03.18

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is leading the charge of a “multi-state coalition” filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration this week; bizarrely claiming the inclusion of a “citizenship” question on the 2020 census somehow violates the US constitution.

“This is a blatant effort to undermine the census and to prevent the census bureau from carrying out its clear constitutional mandate,” Schneiderman said at a press conference, unveiling the lawsuit that was co-signed by nearly 20 other attorney generals and the US Conference of Mayors.

The issue was thrust into the national spotlight last week when the Commerce Department announced its decision to include the “citizenship” question on the upcoming census; prompting liberal lawmakers to question the Trump administration’s motives behind the move.

“It is not just undocumented people who would be afraid in this situation, anyone with a mixed status family or anyone who is concerned about the anti-immigrant animus, and courts repeatedly have found in cases that I have brought that this administration has an anti-immigrant animus, will be scared,” Schneiderman said.

“The Census is a fundamental part of our democracy, and we must encourage every person living in our country to participate, not put up barriers that prevent people from being counted,” said the Illinois Attorney General. “I am filing this lawsuit to ensure that immigrants in Illinois are represented fairly and accurately.”

BREAKING: Democrat Senators FILE LAWSUIT to Block Trump’s Pick to Lead DOJ

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.19.18

Three liberal Senators filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to block President Trump’s pick to become Acting Attorney General at the Department of Justice; claiming the appointment “violated the United States Constitution” and bypassed the Senate’s confirmation process.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for Washington, DC and was signed by Senators Richard Blumenthal, Sheldon Whitehouse, and Mazie Hirono; claiming Matthew Whitaker must undergo a full nomination hearing.

“Americans prize a system of checks and balances, which President Trump’s dictatorial appointment betrays,” Blumenthal said in a statement.

Democratic Senators claim the appointment of Whitaker poses a direct threat to special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing Russia investigation.
