COMEY CLAMS UP: The Former FBI Boss Remains Silent on Secret Rice Email Regarding General Flynn

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.20.20

Former FBI Boss James Comey has yet to respond to a recently released email from Susan Rice showing he warned then-President Obama he may want to keep Russian intelligence away from incoming National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

“A newly declassified email that former National Security Adviser Susan Rice sent herself on President Trump’s inauguration day has raised new questions about James Comey’s role in the outgoing Obama administration’s treatment of Michael Flynn — but the former FBI director has not yet publicly commented on the contents of the memo,” reports Fox News.

“The email pointed to what were apparently widespread concerns about Flynn’s Russa contacts. Multiple sources confirmed to Fox News that what initially put Flynn on the radar was the number of interactions he had with senior Russian government officials in 2016, as laid out in various intelligence reports viewed by Obama White House officials,” adds Fox.

Rice wrote: “From a national security perspective, Comey said he does have some concerns that incoming NSA Flynn is speaking frequently with Russian Ambassador [Sergey] Kislyak. Comey said that could be an issue as it relates to sharing sensitive information. President Obama asked if Comey was saying that the NSC should not pass sensitive information related to Russia to Flynn.”

Rice then wrote, “Comey replied, ‘potentially.’ He added that he has no indication thus far that Flynn has passed classified information to Kislyak, but he noted that ‘the level of communication is unusual.’”

COMEY CHAOS: Susan Rice’s ‘UNUSUAL’ Email Raises NEW QUESTIONS About Comey’s Testimony

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.14.18

A bombshell email from former National Security Advisor Susan Rice sent during President Trump’s inauguration is raising serious questions over former FBI director James Comey’s congressional testimony; highlighting possible inconsistencies over high-level meetings with President Obama during Trump’s transition.

Rice’s email -sent to herself on January 20th, 2017- detailed ongoing discussions between James Comey, Barack Obama, and other senior staffers regarding Russian election interference; prompting Congressional leaders to question why he never mentioned the meetings while speaking under oath.

“I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) – once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016,” Comey said during his opening statement.

“Yet Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., earlier this week released an email Rice sent to herself on Inauguration Day 2017, detailing an Oval Office meeting held Jan. 5 with Obama, Comey, then-Vice President Joe Biden, then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and herself,” writes Fox News.

The email raises serious questions over former President Barack Obama’s involvement in the FBI’s investigation into allegations the Trump campaign “colluded” with Russian officials, as well as the administration’s involvement in Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

Developing Story**

From Fox News:

Former FBI Director James Comey suggested to then-President Barack Obama in a January 2017 meeting that the National Security Council might not want to pass “sensitive information related to Russia” to then-incoming national security adviser Michael Flynn, according to a newly declassified email that Flynn’s predecessor sent herself on Inauguration Day.

The note from Susan Rice was declassified by Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell and transmitted to the Justice Department. Fox News obtained a copy Tuesday from GOP Sen. Ron Johnson’s office, which had sought access to the document.

The Jan. 20, 2017 email Rice sent to herself documented a Jan. 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting with Obama and others, where he provided guidance on how law enforcement should investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race.

“President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book,’” Rice emailed to herself. “The president stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”
