‘CASE CLOSED’: McConnell Slams ‘Angry Democrats,’ Declares Russia-Collusion Probe ‘OVER’

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.07.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell officially declared the special counsel’s Russia investigation “over” Tuesday morning; saying “angry Democrats” are simply “disappointed” by Robert Mueller’s “no collusion” conclusion.

“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) called for Democrats to move on after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report rather than continue to press for more information from current and former Trump administration officials,” reports the Wall Street Journal.

“The Democrats are angry—angry that the facts disappointed them, angry that our legal system will not magically undo the 2016 election for them,” said McConnell on the Senate floor.

The GOP leader’s comments come as left-wing lawmakers desperately attempt to keep the Russia-Trump collusion narrative alive; demanding Robert Mueller appear before multiple House committees in the weeks ahead.

BERNIE ON MUELLER: ‘I Want the Whole Damn Report’

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.25.19

Vermont Senator and 2020 Democratic front-runner Bernie Sanders weighed-in Sunday evening on Robert Mueller’s final conclusion there was “no collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia; saying he “wants the whole damn report.”

“I don’t want a summary of the Mueller report. I want the whole damn report,” posted Sanders on social media.

Bernie’s comments come just hours after the special counsel concluded his two-year investigation into the Trump campaign; telling DOJ officials there was no evidence of “collusion” during the 2016 race for the White House.

COLLUSION DELUSION: Pelosi, Schumer SLAM the Attorney General’s ‘Partisan’ Mueller Report

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.18.19

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer slammed Attorney General William Barr’s “partisan handling” of Robert Mueller’s final report Thursday; dismissing his findings hours before the document is released to Congressional leaders.

“Attorney General Barr’s regrettably partisan handling of the Mueller report, including his slanted March 24th summary letter, his irresponsible testimony before Congress last week, and his indefensible plan to spin the report in a press conference later this morning — hours before he allows the public or Congress to see it — have resulted in a crisis of confidence in his independence and impartiality,” said a joint statement from the Democratic leaders.

“We believe the only way to begin restoring public trust in the handling of the Special Counsel’s investigation is for Special Counsel Mueller himself to provide public testimony in the House and Senate as soon as possible,” they concluded.
