Dr. Ben Carson weighed-in Monday on the growing movement to “Defund the Police” across America; saying people should not be “seduced into accepting silly things that make absolutely no sense.”
“Let’s not be fooled. Let’s not be seduced into accepting silly things that make absolutely no sense. Let’s think this thing through. You want to abolish police departments? Are you kidding me? What happens if you do that? People go out and arm themselves,” said Carson.

REPORT: AirBNB Gives $500K to ‘Black Lives Matter,’ NAACP After Firing 1,900 Workers During Pandemic
Apartment-sharing platform AirBNB announced its plan Tuesday to donate $500,000 to ‘Black Lives Matter’ and the NAACP after laying off 1,900 workers during the Coronavirus pandemic to save resources and cut payroll.
“We stand with #BlackLivesMatter,” the company tweeted Monday night. “We are donating a total of $500,000 to the @NAACP and the @Blklivesmatter Foundation in support of their fight for equality and justice. And we’ll be matching employee donations to both groups. Because a world where we all belong takes all of us.”
“The donation comes after Airbnb announced in early May that it was laying off 1,900 workers, amid the economic slowdown created by the pandemic,” reports Just The News.
BLM is currently calling for a nationwide “defunding” of police departments in all 50 states.
“We call for a national defunding of police,” reads a post on the BLM national website. “We demand investment in our communities and the resources to ensure Black people not only survive, but thrive. If you’re with us, add your name to the petition right now and help us spread the word.”
