Elon Musk continues to clean house (cage).
According to a report from The Post Millennial, Twitter CEO Elon Musk confirmed the firing of Twitter employee and former FBI counsel James Baker after it was discovered he played a role in censoring Hunter Biden information.
From The Post Millennial:
“In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today,” Musk tweeted.
Baker had been hired by Twitter as deputy general counsel following a stint at the FBI that ended with him essentially being forced out of the job.
Musk said that Baker’s explanation was “unconvincing” once he was confronted.
The Twitter files included revelations that “Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the [Hunter Biden laptop] story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be ‘unsafe.’ They even blocked its transmission via direct message, a tool hitherto reserved for extreme cases, e.g. child pornography.
…
At one point, the former Vice President of Global Comms at Twitter, Brandon Borrman, asked if a cover-up of the Hunter Biden story could be “truthfully” censored and covered up as part of Twitter’s policies. “To which former Deputy General Counsel Jim Baker again seems to advise staying the non-course, because ‘caution is warranted’,” reporter Matt Taibbi explained.
