Mayor Pete Buttigieg offered some campaign advice to billionaire Mike Bloomberg following his disastrous debate performance this week; saying Bernie Sanders will win the nomination should he continue his run for the White House.
“Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg‘s presidential campaign called on former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to drop out of the Democratic presidential primary race in a memo released on Thursday, warning that Bloomberg’s presence in the race would propel Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to the Democratic nomination,” reports The Hill.
“If Bloomberg remains in the race despite showing he can not offer a viable alternative to Bernie Sanders, he will propel Sanders to a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead siphoning votes away from Pete, the current leader in delegates,” Buttigieg’s campaign wrote.
“Bloomberg had the worst debate performance in presidential debate history and he showed he can’t handle Sanders, let alone Donald Trump,” the campaign wrote. “If Biden, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar remain in the race despite having no path to appreciably collecting delegates on Super Tuesday (and beyond), they will propel Sanders to a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead by siphoning votes away from [Bloomberg.”

BLOOMBERG TO BERNIE: America’s ‘Best Known Socialist’ is a ‘Millionaire with Three Houses’
Billionaire Mike Bloomberg clashed with Sen. Bernie Sanders during Wednesday night’s fiery debate in Las Vegas; saying America’s “best-known socialist” is a “millionaire with three houses.”
“What a wonderful country we have, the best known socialist in the country happens to be a millionaire with three houses. What did I miss here?” asked the former Mayor of New York City.

“Well, I work in Washington… Live in Burlington, and -like thousands of other Vermonters- I do own a summer camp… Forgive me for that,” fired-back Sanders. “Where is your home?”
“New York City, thank you very much, and I pay all my taxes,” said Bloomberg.

BLOOMSDAY: Bloomberg Campaign Spins Debate Disaster, Says Mayor Mike ‘Just Warming Up’
Billionaire Mike Bloomberg’s 2020 campaign was in full spin cycle Thursday; dismissing the former New York Mayor’s disastrous performance at the Democratic Debate in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Michael Bloomberg’s campaign was scrambling on Thursday to put a positive spin on the former mayor’s brutal 2020 debate-stage debut — though an insider admitted that the non-disclosure agreements Bloomberg used in the private sector remain a weak spot,” reports the New York Post.
“You know you’re a winner when you draw attacks from all the candidates,” Bloomberg campaign manager Kevin Sheekey wrote in an email newsletter to supporters. “Everyone came to destroy Mike and it didn’t happen.”
“Mike Bloomberg presented himself as the leading alternative to Bernie Sanders,” wrote Sheekey. “Everyone came to get under Mike’s skin, but instead, Mike got under Bernie’s.”
“It took Mike just three months to build a stronger campaign than the rest of the field had built in more than a year,” said Sheekey. “It took him just 45 minutes in his first debate in 10 years to get his legs on the stage.
“He was just warming up last night.”
