Former President and GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump will hold a rally in the South Bronx on Thursday night — and local squad Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pretty upset about it.
This week, AOC told reporters, incorrectly, that Trump is holding the NYC rally because he has the “legal version of an ankle bracelet” that keeps him in the five boroughs. She said this despite the fact he was campaigning in Texas this week.
While she was off the mark, AOC’s comments did tip the Dem’s hand that, at least on some level, she understands that this is election interference.
“Remember last week when I said AOC is not intelligent? She just proved my point. AOC admits the Democrat’s Lawfare against Trump is like an electronic ankle monitor limiting his ability to campaign. That’s called election interference baby girl,” Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on X along with the clip.

AOC continued to rail against the Trump rally on MSNBC Wednesday night, telling Chris Hayes how “blue” NYC is.
“New York City is blue. Brooklyn’s bru, blu-, Brooklyn is blue. Queens is blue. The Bronx is blue, and he’s got no where to go…he’s broke…busing people in in order to get those donations so that he can funnel them to his legal fees is kind of his business right now.”
