President Trump directly threatened to “close the border” or “large sections of the border” by next week should Mexico fail to crackdown on the steady stream of migrants making their way towards the United States’ southern border.
“The DEMOCRATS have given us the weakest immigration laws anywhere in the World. Mexico has the strongest, & they make more than $100 Billion a year on the U.S. Therefore, CONGRESS MUST CHANGE OUR WEAK IMMIGRATION LAWS NOW, & Mexico must stop illegals from entering the U.S. through their country and our Southern Border. Mexico has for many years made a fortune off of the U.S., far greater than Border Costs. If Mexico doesn’t immediately stop ALL illegal immigration coming into the United States through our Southern Border, I will be CLOSING the Border, or large sections of the Border, next week. This would be so easy for Mexico to do, but they just take our money and ‘talk.’ Besides, we lose so much money with them, especially when you add in drug trafficking etc.), that the Border closing would be a good thing!” posted the President on social media.

The President’s pledge comes weeks after he declared a “national emergency” at the US-Mexico border; bypassing Congress to provide funding for his long-promised border wall.
DEEP STATE DEPT: Kerry Says Trump Should Declare National Emergency… for CLIMATE CHANGE!
Former Secretary of State John Kerry urged President Trump to declare a national emergency Friday; saying the Commander-in-Chief should ignore the border and focus his energy on combating “climate change.”
“Instead of declaring a national emergency to address a fictional emergency – @realDonaldTrump needs to stop denying a real one: climate change,” posted Kerry on social media.

DEMS IN DENIAL: Gavin Newsom Travels to the Border, Says Absolutely No ‘National Emergency’
California Governor Gavin Newsom traveled to the US-Mexico border Thursday where he championed the “economic vibrancy” and “legal immigration” taking place on a daily basis; asserting there is absolutely no “national emergency.”
I’m at our border today where there is no “national emergency.”
San Ysidro is the busiest border crossing in the Western Hemisphere. It’s a region of economic vibrancy — of trade and commerce. Our state thrives because of the families who live on both sides of this border. pic.twitter.com/CRfXGpyZb6

“We’re right here at the Mexican border. We’re here at San Ysidro, one of the busiest crossings in the United States. I’m trying to highlight a different story as it relates to what’s going on here,” said Newsom.
“It is a very different story than the one you’re hearing out of Washington, DC.,” he added.
