BORDER CHAOS: DHS Confirms Arrest of 3,000 Migrants in 24 HOURS

A high-ranking official with United States Customs and Border Protection confirmed this week that federal authorities arrested over 3,000 individuals at the US-Mexico border in a single, 24-hour period.

According to the Washington Times, Kevin McAleenan -the commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection- told Congressional leaders Tuesdasy that his agency has detained thousands after the ‘migrant caravan’ arrived in Tijuana weeks ago.

“The government snared more than 3,000 illegal immigrants in just one day last week,” writes the Times. “More than 1,100 of those caught either jumping the border or trying to come through a border crossing without permission were children, either traveling alone or with parents, and forced on the treacherous journey.”

“It is indeed both a border security and a humanitarian crisis,” McAleenan told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

'CARAVAN' CRISIS: Group Say Trump Threatening Immigrants With ‘MASS VIOLENCE’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.03.18

The organizers behind a massive “caravan” of US-destined immigrants slammed the Trump administration while traveling through Mexico Tuesday, saying the US President was threatening Central Americans with “threats of mass violence.”

According to Fox News, the leaders of the 1,000-immigrant strong march towards the United States’ southern border accused Trump of “bullying” the refugee community; adding his “caravan” will continue to stand with all “displaced peoples.”

“On April 1st, the U.S. President opportunistically invoked refugee caravans as a pretext for threatening immigrants already in the country, specifically DACA recipients, with a so-called ‘Nuclear Option’ to remove their protections from detention and deportation,” said a statement from People Without Borders.

“In the face of this bullying and these threats of mass violence, we continue to stand in solidarity with displaced people of all races, ethnicities, creeds, abilities, and gender and sexual identities,” the organization said.

President Trump called for “tougher laws” Monday night following news of the approaching Central American immigrants, saying “Honduras, Mexico and many other countries that the U.S. is very generous to, sends many of their people to our country through our WEAK IMMIGRATION POLICIES. Caravans are heading here. Must pass tough laws and build the WALL. Democrats allow open borders, drugs and crime!”

BORDER BREACHED: Central American Migrants ‘Trickling’ into the United States from Tijuana

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.10.18

A “steady trickle” of Central American immigrants traveling with the ‘migrant caravan’ are slowly entering the United States illegally across the southern border; eventually turning themselves over to federal agents rather than wait for months in Mexico.

According to the Associated Press, “A steady trickle of Central American migrants have been finding ways to climb over, tunnel under or slip through the U.S. border wall to plant their feet on U.S. soil and ask for asylum.”

The migrants breached the US-Mexico border with the hopes of avoiding months of wait times as thousands apply for asylum at American Port of Entry across the region.

“But by word of mouth, some have realized they can simply cross into U.S. territory, largely uninhibited by Mexican authorities. In twos or threes — occasionally by the dozen — they arrive at the border wall and manage to get over. Often within minutes, border officers quickly arrive to escort them to detention centers and begin ‘credible fear” interviews,’ adds the AP.

The revelation comes just days after Sen. Ted Cruz introduced legislation that would allocate upwards of $25 billion for President Trump’s signature campaign promise: The border wall.
