“She gave a speech where the President has pounced on words in a way that is outrageously unacceptable. It’s not only inspiring death threats against her, but it’s deepening the worst types of hatred and bigotry and this is unacceptable,” said Booker.
Rep. Omar found herself the center of a national controversy last week after she flippantly referred to the September 11th terror attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 Americans as “some people” who “did something.”
BOOKER GOES BERSERK: Cory Says Kavanaugh Supporters ‘COMPLICIT IN EVIL’
Hyper-liberal Senator Cory Booker exploded on those supporting the President’s pick to join the Supreme Court Tuesday; saying those in favor of confirming Brett Kavanaugh are “complicit in evil.”
Booker was speaking alongside fellow Democrats -including Sen. Elizabeth Warren- when he viciously smeared those behind Kavanaugh’s nomination; adding the United States was in a “moral moment.”
“There’s so much at stake here, this has nothing to do with politics, it has to do with who we are as moral leaders… In a moral moment there is no neutral. In a moral moment there are no bystanders. You’re either complicit in evil […] or you’re fighting against it,” said the Senator.
“There’s a saying in the Abrahamic faiths one of the Psalms that says ‘Yea though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death.’ We are walking through the valley of the shadow of death. But that doesn’t say ‘Though I sit in the valley of the shadow of death,’ it doesn’t say, ‘I’m watching on the sidelines of the valley of the shadow of death, it says, ‘I am walking through the valley of the shadow of death,’” he added.
BOOKER GOES BERSERK: Cory Says Republican Policies ‘Could Cause People’s Death’
Senator Cory Booker unloaded on President Trump and Republican leadership this week when he viciously stated that implementing GOP policies “would have hurt people” and would likely “cause people’s death.”
Booker was speaking with liberal podcast ‘Pod Save America’ when he was asked to comment on recent proposals from both sides of the aisle that the Senate abolish the so-called “filibuster rule.”
“To people on both sides, we are heading that way. You hear Trump calling for the end of the filibuster rule, and I understand that if I am the commander-in-chief, the president of the United States fighting a tactical battle, that that is something that is—we are moving toward,” said Booker.
“If Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Donald Trump for the last two years, had complete sway, they wouldn’t have just changed policy, which is nice, they would have hurt people in my community, literally doing policies that could cause people’s death,” he added.
