Colorado couple Rex and Rhonda Miller have started a GoFundMe page for their son Blake, who is being denied a kidney transplant by the state because of his vaccination status. Rex called into the show last week to share his son’s predicament, explaining the family’s religious and medical hesitations about the vaccine. The city of San Antonio is willing to do the transplant but medicaid is not accepted state to state.
They could really use some help.
“I am starting this GoFundMe for my son Blake Miller. Blake is in full renal failure and in dire need of a kidney transplant. UCHealth in Colorado screened myself and I am 100% match. However they refused to schedule or perform the operation due to our medical and religious hesitations on taking the Covid-19 vaccine although Blake has already recovered from having Covid-19 back in November of 2021,” Rhonda says on the family’s GoFundMe page.
“We are a strong Christian family and believe God will save our son’s life. Any donations are greatly appreciated, thank you for helping us in the fight for my son’s life.”
