BIG APPLE BOUND: Trump Says ‘NYC is Devastated, De Blasio’s Coming Home’

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.20.19

President Trump weighed-in Friday on Bill de Blasio’s exit from the 2020 race for the White House; saying New York City is “devastated” their mayor is returning after months on the campaign trail.

“Oh no, really big political news, perhaps the biggest story in years! Part time Mayor of New York City, @BilldeBlasio, who was polling at a solid ZERO but had tremendous room for growth, has shocking dropped out of the Presidential race. NYC is devastated, he’s coming home!,” Trump posted on social media.

De Blasio officially ended his race for the White House Friday morning; exiting the primary process while vowing to make the Big Apple a “vanguard of progressivism.”

“This campaign has been a profound experience for me. I saw America in full — not as it appears on Twitter and cable news, where we’re constantly shown a country hamstrung by our differences and unable to tackle the problems we face. We have more in common than we realize — and more and more of us across the country are overcoming our divisions and standing up for working people,” de Blasio writes in an op-ed for NBC News.

“That’s why fighting for working people and ensuring that New York City remains the vanguard of progressivism will continue to be my missions,” he adds. “I’m going to redouble my efforts to improve the quality of life of everyday New Yorkers, proving that policies like guaranteed paid personal time off can work on a grand scale. I’m going to continue implementing universal health care and a Green New Deal in the nation’s largest city. And I promise I’ll fight for New Yorkers and workers everywhere to ensure there’s an actual plan to protect their livelihoods from being automated out of existence.”

“The picture frames that will show this moment in history are still empty now. Soon enough, they’ll depict a new generation of Americans who fought for change. I’m ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the activists I met on the campaign trail who will fill those frames, who will transform this country into a place which finally delivers the rights and privileges that working people deserve. I hope you’ll stand with us, too,” he concludes.

WORST MAYOR EVER: Bill de Blasio ‘Registers ZERO Support’ in Latest New York Presidential Poll

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.18.19

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s presidential campaign went from bad to worse this week; with a new poll showing the far-left leader registering “zero” support from voters across the state.

“De Blasio is registered as having ‘0’ support from Big Apple Democrats in a Siena College poll on the presidential primary in New York State,” reports the New York Post. “De Blasio also registered zero support from union households, blacks and Hispanics statewide, according to the cross-tabs in the Siena survey.”

Of the 359 Democrats surveyed, just one picked De Blasio as their favorite candidate.

De Blasio’s administration irked parents across the five boroughs this week after announcing school officials are permitting students to ditch class to protest ‘Climate Change.’

“.@NYCschools will excuse absences of students participating in the #ClimateStrike on Friday 9/20. Students will need parental consent. Younger students can only leave school with a parent,” posted the school district’s official Twitter account.

“Youth strike advocates Fridays for Future said more than 2400 events were taking place from Sept. 20 through Sept. 27 to coincide with the UN climate summit on Sept. 23, where Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is due to make an address,” reports Axios.

WORST MAYOR EVER: Records Show Bill De Blasio Logged 7 HOURS OF WORK at City Hall in 1 MONTH

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.03.19

Recently released records show New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio logged just seven hours of work at City Hall the same month he announced his entry into the 2020 race for the White House.

“Mayor Bill de Blasio spent a mere seven hours — less than one full workday — at City Hall during the month he launched his bid for the White House, records reviewed by The Post show,” reports the New York Post. “Hizzoner showed up at his office on just six occasions in May, taking part in two meetings, four events and five phone calls, one of which was his weekly appearance on WNYC radio.”

“The 11 appointments amounted to a meager one-fifth of the 50 meetings, calls and other events at City Hall on de Blasio’s calendar for May 2018. He had a total 152 city events scheduled for the month,” adds the Post.

“If he’s trying to show New Yorkers that he’s over doing the job, he’s doing a good job of it,” said a former staffer.

Bill de Blasio addressed a crowd of just 15 people in Cedar Rapids, Iowa last month; discussing a range of issues from immigration to his plans on raising taxes for wealthy Americans.

“Mayor Bill de Blasio pitched his presidential dreams to a crowd of about 15 likely Democratic voters at an event Sunday morning in Cedar Rapids, Iowa,” reports the New York Post. “With more than enough empty space to accommodate his 6-foot-5 frame, the quixotic candidate took the floor at Parlor City Pub to a smattering of applause from the sleepy brunch set.”

“Everything should be about our families, our lives, what everyday people are going through, what working people are going through,” De Blasio told a handful of attendees.

“If we as Democrats are talking about that, we’re winning,” he added. “Here’s the bottom line: We have a country that’s favored the 1 percent now for literally 40 years. The rich have gotten richer. Everybody else has been pretty much treading water.”
