While delivering remarks about the Biden Administration’s climate action on Earth Day at Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, Virginia, Squad Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took a moment to praise the pro-Palestinian protesters on college campuses across the country.
“It is especially important that we remember the power of young people shaping this country today of all days as we once again witness the leadership of those peaceful student-led protests on campuses like Columbia, Yale, Berkeley, and many others,” AOC tells the crowd.
After AOC’s remarks, President Biden took the stage and said “Representative Ocasio-Cortez of New York, I learned a long time ago to listen to that lady. And we’re going to talk about another part of the world real quick.”
Conservative reporter Greg Price shared the pair of clips on X, saying “While speaking at Biden’s Earth Day event just now, AOC praised the pro-Hamas protests at Columbia and Yale Biden then opened his speech by saying ‘I learned a long time ago to listen to that lady.'”
