Beto O’Rourke, who rose to fame during his high-stakes race against Sen. Ted Cruz, was officially invited to speak to the New Hampshire Democratic Party this week; testing the waters for a potential run for the White House in 2020.
“Since O’Rourke’s loss earlier this month, Rob Friedlander, a senior advisor to the Texas Democrat’s campaign, has received calls from the New Hampshire Young Democrats requesting that O’Rourke come to the Granite State,” writes CNBC.
The Democrats “extended an invitation via email. No further action has been taken at this time,” said a spokesperson with the O’Rourke campaign.
Beto raised eyebrows just days ago when he reversed course from previous claims he had no ambitions to run for the White House; saying he was open to all political opportunities in the future.
“When he’s on the stump, it’s engaging,” said the President of New Hampshire’s Young Democrats. “When he speaks you’re excited and you know he believes in it. You want to buy into that movement. That’s why people are excited.”

BETO ON BORDER: Trump ‘Locking’ Children in ‘Cages,’ Tear-Gassing Migrants
Failed Texas Senate hopeful Beto O’Rourke unloaded on the Trump administration’s handling of the ‘migrant caravan’ this week; baselessly asserting the White House was “locking” children in “cages.”
Beto posted his incendiary remarks online just hours after dozens of migrants were apprehended after storming the US border and hurling rocks at American authorities.
It should tell us something about her home country that a mother is willing to travel 2,000 miles with her 4-month old son to come here. How we respond when she arrives tells us something about ours. https://t.co/hrsfjh3drv

“It should tell us something about her home country that a mother is willing to travel 2,000 miles with her 4-month old son to come here,” O’Rourke posted.
“[It] should tell us something about our country that we only respond to this desperate need once she is at our border,” O’Rourke continued. “So far, in this administration, that response has included taking kids from their parents, locking them up in cages, and now tear gassing them at the border.
“People are leaving violent countries where they fear for their lives,” he added. “Without money, they are subsisting on hope for their kids, for themselves, that they can get to safety. After being denied the ability to lawfully petition for asylum for the last 10 days, they are desperate.
BETO’S BIG BUCKS: O’Rourke Raises Record $70 MILLION to Topple Ted Cruz
Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke raised a staggering $70 million in his efforts to oust Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas this election cycle; smashing records and outpacing the GOP legislator by a two-to-one margin.
“The cost of a U.S. Senate seat from Texas has never been higher, and Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s insurgent bid to topple Sen. Ted Cruz has now attracted $70 million as the El Paso Democrat keeps setting new national records,” writes the Dallas News.
“The Democrat’s latest campaign report, filed early Friday with the Federal Election Commission, showed he brought in nearly $8.5 million from Oct. 1 to 17, padding a tally that was already the most of for any Senate candidate anywhere, ever,” adds the author.
In contrast, Cruz has raised approximately $30 million since early 2017 according to FEC filings.
Despite O’Rourke’s deep pockets, Sen. Cruz maintains a slight lead in the Texas race; holding a five to seven point advantage in recent polls.
