BERNIE’S BACK? Campaign Manager Says Sanders ‘Considering’ Run in 2020

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.29.18

Bernie Sander’s former campaign manager told reporters Tuesday the Vermont Senator is actively considering a run for the White House against Donald Trump in 2020; setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown within the Democratic Party.

According to Yahoo News, former campaign manager Jeff Weaver confirmed the ultra-liberal legislator was weighing another run for the Oval Office, saying “He is considering another run for the presidency.”

“And when the time comes, I think we’ll have an answer to that, but right now, he’s still considering it,” he added.

Weaver’s comments come two years after Senator Sanders was defeated by Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Democratic primary season; with many critics claiming Clinton “rigged” the election away from the Vermont Senator.

“Anybody who follows Bernie Sanders for one day and sees his schedule, and how rigorous it is, and how he drives everybody around him, works them into the ground with the amount of work and energy he has, I think they would understand that his chronological age is just not really a measure of his true age,” Weaver said. “[He] is an extremely energetic and vigorous person, and has more energy, I would say, than people half his age.”

BERNIE’S BACK! The Socialist Senator HITS THE CAMPAIGN Trail in Iowa

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.13.18

Vermont Senator and former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is back in Iowa, campaigning for a former staffer running for Congress in the pivotal state and raising new questions about a possible run for the White House in 2020.

According to the Des Moines Register, the socialist Senator will deliver the keynote speech at an event for Democrat Pete D’Alessandro later this month; marking the third time Sanders has returned to the state since his failed bid for the Oval Office in 2016.

“Bernie knows that we need bold, progressive leaders in Congress if we’re going to change the direction of our country,” said D’Alessandro. “That’s why I’m proudly supporting Medicare for All, a $15/hour living wage, and free college tuition for those who work hard. We can take our country back and continue the movement Bernie started here in 2016.”

While the Senator has remained quiet about another run for the White House, he continues to lead fellow Democrats in recent polling.

The hyper-liberal Congressman still receives high-levels of support from the progressive wing of the Democratic party, many of whom feel the Senator faced an unfair fight against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 primaries.

BERNIE’S BILLIONS: Sanders Vows to REPEAL Tax Cuts if DEMS Take Senate

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.11.18

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders took his all-out war with the GOP tax cuts to a new level this week; pledging to repeal “all of President Trump’s tax cuts” and “rebuild the middle class.”

The liberal legislator released a statement regarding the tax legislation Monday; slamming the bill as a massive “break for the wealthy and large corporations” at the expense of social programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.

“Over and over again, President Trump and his administration falsely claimed that their $1.5 trillion tax cut bill would pay for itself,” said Sanders.

“Republicans are already using the huge increase in the debt that they caused as an excuse to make major cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. That is unacceptable,” he added. “At a time of massive wealth and income inequality, we have got to repeal all of President Trump’s tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations and rebuild the disappearing middle class.”

The socialist lawmaker’s comments come weeks after President Trump pledged to pursue “Phase Two” of his proposed tax cuts; hoping to make the reduced rates “permanent.”
