BERNIE on VIRUS: Federal Government Must ‘Guarantee Income and Health Care for All Americans’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.02.20

Sen. Bernie Sanders doubled-down on his demands for a universal basic income during the Coronavirus pandemic Thursday morning; saying the federal government must “guarantee income and health care” for all Americans.

“Last week, 6.6 million applied for unemployment. Millions more will lose their jobs in the coming weeks. In the midst of this horrific crisis, Congress must pass a new, unprecedented emergency bill that guarantees income and health care for all Americans. Working on details now,” posted Sanders on social media.

Sanders ripped the Trump administration’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic this week; calling the White House’s efforts to slow the spread of the disease “insane.”

“Millions are losing their jobs and health care at a rate never before seen in American history. @realDonaldTrump’s response? Block http://HealthCare.gov from enrolling people who desperately need insurance during a pandemic. That is insane,” posted Sanders on social media.

Sanders ripped the Republicans’ Coronavirus relief package on social media last Monday; saying the plan focuses on “corporate CEOs” at the expense of “food and transit workers.”

“Reading the Republican coronavirus bill, you’d think the most important people in America are corporate CEOs. That is wrong. Our essential workers include: Health workers. Delivery and warehouse workers. Food workers. Transit workers We must put their needs ahead of CEOs,” posted Sanders on twitter.

President Trump sent a message of hope directly to the American people during his daily press briefing Sunday evening; saying the US has “a leader that will always fight for you” and “won’t stop until we win.”

“For those worried and afraid, please know as long as I am your President, you can feel confident that you will have a leader that will always fight for you and I will not stop until we win,” said the Commander-in-Chief flanked by the Vice President.

AMERICA RESPONDS: AOC Describes Coronavirus Relief Vote as ‘Literally a Hostage Situation’

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.27.20

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez described Friday’s vote on the Coronavirus relief plan as a “hostage situation,” calling the legislation a gift to America’s biggest corporations and wealthiest residents.

“Each one of us takes this vote alone. This is not an easy position for anyone to take. It’s a tough position, because it’s literally a hostage situation,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her fierce opposition to the Senate’s bipartisan Coronavirus relief package Friday; calling the legislation “shameful” and “crumbs” for American families.

“Our community’s reality is this country’s future if we don’t do anything. Hospital workers do not have protective equipment. We don’t have the necessary ventilators. We have to go into this vote eyes wide open,” said Rep. Ocasio-Cortez on the House Floor.

“Shameful! The greed of that fight is wrong, for crumbs for our families, and the option that we have is to let them suffer with nothing or to allow this greed and billions of dollars which will be leveraged into trillions of dollars!” she screamed.

BERNIE SANDERS: Republican Coronavirus Relief Plan Focuses on ‘Corporate CEOs’

Far-left Senator Bernie Sanders ripped the Republicans’ Coronavirus relief package on social media Monday; saying the plan focuses on “corporate CEOs” at the expense of “food and transit workers.”

“Reading the Republican coronavirus bill, you’d think the most important people in America are corporate CEOs. That is wrong. Our essential workers include: Health workers. The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the United States rose to 35,000 over the weekend; making the USA the third largest outbreak in the world after China and Italy.

“As the U.S. works to contain the rapidly spreading virus, Italy has seen surging statistics in both cases and deaths. The number of infections jumped to 59,138, while the death toll stands at 5,476,” reports Fox News. “The death toll in China, where the virus originated in late December and where the contagion rate has started to slow, stood at 3,274, with at least 81,454 confirmed cases.”

“All 50 states have reported confirmed cases of coronavirus. New York has the largest number of cases at nearly 17,000 after seeing a 37.4 percent spike Monday, while Washington has the second-most at 1,996,” adds Fox.

States like California and New York have taken drastic measures to contain the virus; ordering millions of residents to stay at home to slow the spread of the contagion.
