Bernie Sanders “political revolution” of disaffected voters failed to materialize at the voting booth Tuesday night; crashing the far-left Senator’s hopes of taking on Donald Trump this November.
“Joe Biden decisively won Michigan’s Democratic presidential primary, seizing a key battleground state that helped propel Bernie Sanders’ insurgent candidacy four years ago. The former vice president’s victory there, as well as in Missouri, Mississippi and Idaho, dealt a serious blow to Sanders and substantially widened Biden’s path to the nomination,” reports the Associated Press.
Sanders holds a narrow lead over Biden in Washington State, 32.7% to 32.5%.
“It’s been a great night — thank you for all of your support! We’re bringing this party together and it’s going to take all of us to keep it going,” posted Biden on social media.

SUPER TUESDAY II: Biden Defeats Bernie, Projected to Win Crucial Democratic Primary in Michigan
Former Vice President Joe Biden is projected to win the pivotal Democratic primary in Michigan Tuesday night; a crushing blow to Bernie Sanders’ campaign that won the state against Hillary Clinton back in 2016.
“Joe Biden will win the pivotal primary contest in the state of Michigan, in addition to his victories in Mississippi and Missouri earlier Tuesday night, Fox News projects, building on the former vice president’s momentum from Super Tuesday a week ago and bringing him much closer to the Democratic presidential nomination,” reports Fox News.
“With these wins alone, Biden is likely to substantially grow his delegate lead over Sanders, even as the results of three more races are still outstanding,” adds Fox.

CRASH AND BERN: Joe Biden Stuns Bernie Sanders, Wins AL, AR, MA, MN, NC, OK, TN, TX, VA
Former Vice President Joe Biden stunned Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders Tuesday night; winning key races in Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and likely Maine.
“I’m here to report that we are very much alive,” Biden told supporters on Election Night. “This campaign is taking off.”
“Biden – once the unrivaled front-runner for the nomination – was wounded after a lackluster fourth-place finish in Iowa’s caucuses and a disappointing fifth-place showing in New Hampshire’s primary. But a slight rebound in Nevada’s caucuses – where he came in a distant second to Sanders – was followed this past weekend with a landslide victory in South Carolina’s primary,” reports Fox News.
