BAD TIMING: Gore Launches 24-Hour ‘Climate Tax’ Campaign as France REVOLTS Against ‘Climate Tax’

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.04.18

Former Vice President and climate-change crusader Al Gore kicked off his 24-hour ‘reality’ broadcast promoting a global ‘climate tax’ this week; perfectly coinciding with the worst riots France has seen in over 50 years over Emmanuel Macron’s proposed ‘climate tax.’

“All of it is felt most keenly by the world’s most disadvantaged people,” said Gore Tuesday, “It’s up to each and everyone of us now to demand that our leaders do more.”

“A dramatic shift is underway, but it must be accelerated by new policies,” Gore added.

French President Emmanuel Macron partially caved to the “Yellow Vest” protesters this week; announcing a six-month suspension of his so-called ‘fuel tax’ as gasoline supplies dwindle throughout the country.

PARIS BURNING: France Sees Worst Riots in 50 YEARS as Gas Supplies Dwindle

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.03.18

Paris saw its worst riots in 50 years over the weekend as gas stations ran dry during the country’s escalating oil shortage; leaving more than one hundred injured and graffiti covering the iconic city’s famed landmarks.

According to the Daily Mail, Graffiti was removed from the Arc de Triomphe Monday after the weekend’s violent clashes between “yellow vest” protesters and police.

The demonstrators “occupied” central Paris to highlight the growing fuel shortage with hundreds of gas stations completely out of oil.

“The French President – who faced calls to resign from protesters who scrawled anti-Macron slogans on the Arc de Triomphe – today vowed to bring the rioters to justice as he inspected wreckage on the Champs-Elysees,” writes the Daily Mail.

“The ‘yellow vest’ protests, which began as a rebellion against a fuel tax hike but have expanded into weeks of civil unrest, spread across the country yesterday and ended with 133 people injured, including 23 police officers, and 412 arrested last night,” adds the author.

PARIS BURNING: Macron Caves, Delays ‘Fuel Tax’ for SIX MONTHS as Violent Protests Rock France

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.04.18

French President Emmanuel Macron caved to “Yellow Vest” protesters this week; announcing a six-month suspension of his proposed fuel tax after nationwide protests turned violent amid widespread gasoline shortages.

According to Reuters, “France’s prime minister on Tuesday suspended planned increases to fuel taxes for at least six months in response to weeks of sometimes violent protests, the first major U-turn by President Emmanuel Macron’s administration after 18 months in office.”

“The French who have donned yellow vests want taxes to drop, and work to pay. That’s also what we want. If I didn’t manage to explain it, if the ruling majority didn’t manage to convince the French, then something must change,” said Prime Minister Edouard Philippe.

“No tax is worth jeopardizing the unity of the nation,” he added.

The “Yellow Vest” protests started in November, but have turned into a broader anti-Macron demonstration as students, first responders, and others have joined in recent days.
