“Dealmaking is an art — President Trump has clearly mastered it.”
Louisiana Senator John Kennedy stopped by Hannity Wednesday night to offer his reaction to the rollercoaster week of trade wars and tariffs.
“It’s undeniable that many countries — including China — have used tariffs to hurt the American people for a long time,” Kennedy said. “President Trump, guided by the principle that if you’re going to be a bear, be a grizzly, hit back very hard.”
“Then an astounding thing happened … fully half of the countries in the entire world said ‘no mas.’ They came to the president and said we want to moor our trade barriers,” Kennedy continued. “They decided it was in their best interest to make a deal and realized the president wasn’t bluffing.”
“No person with an IQ above their age believes that these countries would have come to the table but for what President Trump did. Some don’t want to admit that, but it’s the truth. Dealmaking is an art. President Trump has clearly mastered the art.”
