'ARM OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!': Trump Unloads on ABC and NBC, Says He’d Support FCC Revoking Licenses

President Trump unleashed a late-night broadside against NBC and ABC News on Sunday, blasting their coverage as “biased” and suggesting the FCC should revoke their broadcast licenses.

Trump claimed the networks’ reporting was negative in “97%” of stories — though he did not cite a source. A Media Research Center study earlier this year found 92% of coverage during his first 100 days was negative.

 

“IF THAT IS THE CASE, THEY ARE SIMPLY AN ARM OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND SHOULD, ACCORDING TO MANY, HAVE THEIR LICENSES REVOKED,” Trump wrote in all caps, adding he would be “totally in favor” of such a move, calling the outlets “so biased and untruthful, an actual threat to our Democracy.”

He followed with another post branding both networks “FAKE NEWS” and “two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the world.” Trump also questioned why they don’t “pay Millions of Dollars a year in LICENSE FEES,” arguing: “They should lose their Licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or Conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime!!! Crooked ‘journalism’ should not be rewarded, it should be terminated!!!”
