The Republican National Committee officially announced their plans to hold the 2020 GOP Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina Friday; saying the city has “so much to offer” Republican delegates as they set their sights on President Trump’s re-election.
“I am thrilled to announce Charlotte as the official host city for the 2020 Republican National Convention,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing the Queen City take center stage as the Republican Party re-nominates President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to continue fighting for the American people.”
“Charlotte has so much to offer, and we are excited to bring delegates to a city that has demonstrated its southern hospitality, showcased its vibrant energy, and proven that possibilities are endless,” RNC Site Selection Chairman Ron Kaufman said.
Inside sources say the RNC had narrowed the potential locations down to Charlotte and Las Vegas, but feared Sin City’s reputation for gambling and other vices could alienate Republican voters.

RNC BOSS: Democrats Care More About ELECTIONS than ‘DREAMERS’
The chairwoman of the Republican National Committee slammed liberal lawmakers for their total turn-around on DACA Friday; saying Democratic legislators care more about “winning elections” then they do about the 800,000 ‘Dreamers’ currently residing in the United States.
Ronna McDaniel was speaking with Fox News when she rejected the “absolute lie” that Democratic leadership “care about the DACA recipients,” adding they had multiple opportunities to strike a deal with the President but refused to cooperate with the Trump administration.
“Democrats don’t want to deal with the president because they want to use it as an issue going into the 2018 midterms and the president is right to point it out,” said McDaniel.
“It’s an absolute lie on behalf of Democrat leadership they care about the DACA recipients more than they care about this next election,” she added.

PELOSI’S PLOT: RNC Warns of ‘TRUMP IMPEACHMENT’ Should Dems Retake Congress
A spokesperson for the Republican National Committee pulled-back the curtain on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s agenda should the Democrats retake Congress this week; saying a “blue wave” would likely lead to impeachment proceedings against the President.
RNC spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany was speaking with the Hill Thursday when she weighed-in on liberal talk of impeachment surrounding the midterm elections; adding that a left-wing takeover could “put that in play.”
“What makes me nervous is obviously the House. We don’t want to lose the House. We recognize that if we lose the House, there are Democrats who have talked impeachment even though it’s a bogus, baseless theory with no grounding in truth. We do think that losing the House puts that at risk, and puts that in play,” she said.
“Historically we know that the sitting party in power loses seats. It happened to President Obama, but as we know, and as our chairwoman says, we have to defy history,” she added. “So what keeps me up is the fact that history is against us despite all of the great signs we see out there in the economy and elsewhere.”
