President Donald Trump is holding firm with a key voting bloc that often decides elections.
CNN analyst Harry Enten said Trump’s approval rating among seniors currently stands at 44% and is holding steady, a notable benchmark deep into his second term.
That figure, according to Enten, marks the highest approval rating for any 21st-century president at this same stage of a second term, underscoring Trump’s continued strength with older Americans.
“President Trump is more than holding his own among a very large portion of the electorate — a very reliable voting bloc — and that is senior citizens,” Enten said on Thursday.
The senior vote has long been one of the most reliable and influential blocs in national politics, with higher turnout rates than younger demographics and outsized sway in battleground states.
