After British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s visit to Ukraine, Americans are wondering when or if Joe will go. Earlier this week, the President appeared to signal he may be ready to visit the war zone; Psaki says not so fast.
During a recent podcast appearance, White House press secretary Jen Psaki had to, once again, clarify a Biden gaffe. She says the President is definitely not going and we should all be “relieved.”
“What I will tell you is that, what Boris Johnson did is he took, I believe, an eight-hour train through a war zone to get to the middle of Ukraine,” Psaki said. “So, no that is not in the plans for the president of the United States.”
“He’s ready for anything,” Psaki added. “The man likes the fast cars and aviators. He’s ready to go to Ukraine. It’s true he does.”
“We are not sending the president to Ukraine,” she added firmly.
‘We should all maybe be relieved about that,’ she added. ‘He’s got a few other things to do.’
