Senator John McCain went-off on a Fox News reporter earlier Wednesday, after the journalist asked the Arizona Republican if his “personal relationship” with the President was preventing the lawmaker from “supporting anything” Trump proposes.
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy confronted the GOP legislator at the US Capitol, pressing McCain over a string of recent “no” votes that essentially killed President Trump’s efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare.
“Has your relationship with the President frayed to the point that you are not going to support anything that he comes to you and asks for?” asked Doocy.
“Why would you say something that stupid? Why would you ask something that dumb?! Huh?” exploded McCain.
“My job as a United States Senator from Arizona –which I was just re-elected to- You mean that I’m somehow going to behave in a way that I’m going to block everything because of some personal disagreement? That’s a dumb question,” added McCain.
