The New Yorker released portions of the infamous ‘Scaramucci Call’ between reporter Ryan Lizza and former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci on Thursday, unveiling a thirteen-minute clip of highlights that ultimately cost the Mooch his job inside the Trump administration.
The audio outlines Scaramucci’s plan to take over the communications department in the White House, as well as his personal relationship with former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and senior advisor Steve Bannon.
The call made national headlines just days ago after Scaramucci referred to Priebus as a “f***ing paranoid schizophrenic.”
Lizza, who narrates the clip, believes Scaramucci fell into the same trap that often plagues new additions to the White House press team.
“They believe that the real problem is just a communications strategy—that if only the American public heard and saw what the most loyal supporters saw in the President, everything would be solved,” Lizza told the New Yorker.
